As our next CPA tax specialist, you’ll prepare and review tax returns at all levels, train to support strategic tax planning meetings, and contribute to meaningful client outcomes. Prior IRS experience is a strong plus. Key Responsibilities: • Prepare and review individual, corporate (including S‐Corps), partnership, trust, nonprofit, and estate tax returns with accuracy and attention to compliance., • Assist in team workflows to support IRS notices, audit responses, and state tax matters., • Train for participation in client‐focused tax strategy sessions—helping craft and present personalized financial blueprints., • Review tax work and mentor junior team members—ensuring quality and continuous improvement., • Collaborate with cross‐functional teams to support bookkeeping, small‐business structuring, CFO services, and proactive tax planning (Taxsmithing™), • Stay current on federal and Texas state tax law, IRS updates, and emerging tax strategy trends. What You Bring: • Active CPA license in Texas., • Proven experience (3+ years) in a public accounting environment, handling tax preparation across individual, business, and trust filings., • Familiarity with IRS procedures, audits, or correspondence is highly desirable., • Strong analytical mindset, precision, and exceptional attention to detail., • Excellent communication skills—comfortable training others and engaging in client-facing strategy discussions., • Ambition to learn and contribute to tax strategy work (Taxsmithing™) and large-scale client advisory services., • Proficient with tax preparation software and Microsoft Office suite.
