Job DescriptionSalary: DOE Position Purpose: The Tech Arts Director exists to lead and oversee the technical and creative production elements that support and enhance the worship experience and other ministry environments. This includes audio, video, lighting, livestream, presentation software, and other production technologies. The goal is to create distraction-free environments that help people encounter God and engage fully in worship. Role Basics | Responsibilities and Expectations: Tech Arts Oversight * Oversee the setup, operation, and maintenance of all audio (Allen & Heath - DLIVE), video (Ross & Black Magic), lighting (Grand MA) and livestream systems (Resi). * Lead in planning and service execution of production needs for weekend services, special events (e.g. Christmas, Easter), and some external events. * Maintain and upgrade technical equipment and infrastructure as needed. Servant Leadership Oversight * Oversee recruitment, training and equipping a team of servant leaders for all tech positions (FOH audio engineers, ProPresenter, Lighting, camera operators and live stream team). * Develop a culture of excellence, humility, and spiritual leadership among servant leaders. * Oversee scheduling servant leaders using Planning Center Online. Collaboration & Planning * Meet with the Worship Minister weekly (and as needed) to plan and execute creative worship environments. * Attend weekly planning meetings and collaborate in brainstorming sessions for worship services, stage sets, and technical innovation. * Serve as the point person for Sunday run sheets and technical cues. Systems & Administration * Manage Tech Arts employees and oversee that all their responsibilities are accomplished weekly. * Manage the tech budgets and purchase equipment responsibly. * Ensure all areas are safe, organized, and well-functioning for staff and servant leaders. Minimum Work and Education: High School Diploma/GED Some college preferred 3+ years relative work Skills: Skills in video, audio, lighting, graphics, etc. Ability to solve problems and resolve conflicts Time management Goal setting Team building Required Competencies: Empower Others | Share responsibility and authority with other in a way that increases their confidence and their sense of contribution to the mission. Execute for Results | Drive a goal or project forward to a timely completion. Time Requirement: This position is a full time, exempt role aiming for 40+ hours per week. 46 Sundays a year
