Job Description POSITION: Purchaser LOCATION: Lyric Theatre, New York, NY HOURS: Full Time COMPENSATION: $20 - $25 per hour depending on experience ABOUT THE POSITION The Lyric Theatre, home to Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is seeking a Purchaser to join our Food and Beverage team. The Purchaser is responsible for the management and support of daily Food and Beverage purchasing and receiving operations, as well as the implementation and execution of related systems which includes order processing (food and non-food), the creation and distribution of daily purchase orders, and weekly and monthly inventory control. You will be responsible for cleaning and ongoing maintenance of all F&B equipment, taking ownership for liaising with equipment vendors and raising support tickets when needed. Line management responsibility includes a full time Assistant Purchaser and the wider casual cover team. Working in tandem with the F&B Customer Experience Manager, you will play a crucial role in delivery of the F&B program. Taking responsibility for supporting all elements of the purchasing operation, you will report to the General Manager. You will be joining a high-energy, detail focused team that plays a central role in keeping the Lyric Theatre running safely and smoothly. PEOPLE, PLACES, and THINGS • You are detail-oriented, and able to handle several tasks simultaneously, • You are exceptionally organized and have a sound mind with numbers, • You are a great communicator and collaborator, and care deeply about delivering the best possible experiences and results for the production, your team members, patrons, and the company at large, • You are motivated to find solutions to problems (“finding the yes”) for both internal and external partners, • You are a highly resourceful team player who can take direction but can also take initiative and work independently on projects from conception to completion, • You can demonstrate commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive and respectful working and learning environment EXPERIENCE and SKILLS · Ability to lift/carry up to 40 lbs and stand for long periods time · Basic computer skills are essential with an emphasis on Microsoft Suite and POS comprehension · A passion for Food, Beverage, Hospitality, Guest Experience, and Team Success · Food and Beverage knowledge including a comprehensive understanding of spirits, wine, beer, fresh food, and snacks · Operational experience in and around VIP spaces, bars, kitchens, hotels, and banquet settings · Excellent personal communication skills with demonstrated ability to support teams of people · Attention to detail, with the ability to focus on several tasks at once · Willing and able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary · Minimum 1 to 2 years’ experience in a retail store/warehouse, bulk purchasing, concessions, or grocery store experience required COMPETENCIES · Bartending or alcohol ordering experience helpful · Serve Safe or similar food certificate ATG Entertainment: Passion Behind Performance ATG Entertainment is a world leader in live entertainment.
