Job DescriptionBenefits: • 401(k), • 401(k) matching, • Bonus based on performance, • Competitive salary, • Free uniforms, • Paid time off, • Health insurance, • Read all notes on tickets prior to leaving for the day and make sure you are fully prepared for your route prior to leaving, • Upon arrival to a customers home, ring bell (unless otherwise noted) and announce that you are there today to perform the service, • Vacuum, skim and brush pool each visit, • Empty pump and skimmer baskets each visit, • Backwash as needed and cartridges cleaned as needed, • Inspect pool equipment and report any issues that are not able to be fixed on the visit, • Complete water chemistry check and balance (unless otherwise noted) on each visit, • Complete water analysis report written up on the ticket with notes of what was performed, any issues found and any customer expectations with the second copy left for the customer, • Most importantly, when unsure of something contact the office and speak with In-House Mechanic, • Additional employee documents will be provided to technician to aid in better understanding job duties, • Must adhere to all safety guidelines, • Start time is 7:30 AM and technician is expected to be on the road to their first job site NO LATER than 8:00 AM. Deductions will occur if this is not adhered to, • At least two weeks notice is required for any request for a personal day absence, • Any job change between technicians must be approved by supervisor

Job DescriptionDescription: POSITION SUMMARY: This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Provides direct supervision of a group of children in Beyond the Bell. The Specialist shall design and deliver a program specialty in their designated area tailored to the skills and interests of each age group. They will work with other Y employees to bring about quality programming in that specialty area. Activities should nurture creativity, cooperation, skill and self-esteem and support the potential of all youth in programs and facilitate peer-to-peer connections as part of the overall program experience. Requirements: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Plan, setup and deliver a variety of activities within specialty areas that are age specific and that keep children’s interests high., • Instruct Assistants and Group Leaders on how to teach activities within specialty if assistance is needed., • Lead specialty activities/classes each program day., • Control all supply inventory used in specialty. Keep supply storage area neat and organized., • Greet participants with a smile and treat them with enthusiasm., • Learn participants' names. Respond to participant needs., • Encourage participants’ youth development progress. As a leader, set a good example for the children. Teach participants how to solve problems and maintain basic discipline and group control., • Ensure that all volunteers have a great experience to help our association increase volunteer participation., • Develop positive relationships with member families and learn why they come to our Y., • Help group maintain program area cleanliness., • Perform all responsibilities in an enthusiastic and committed manner., • Take the initiative to be actively participatory in all activities., • Must attend and complete all required trainings., • At all times, uphold safety standards. Maintain constant face counts. Will understand and practice risk management and disaster policies and procedures., • Help maintain group control and facilitate activities., • Follow all YMCA and NJ Licensing standards and procedures to ensure the safest and best quality program., • Secure and submit all accident reports, special plans, schedule changes, and evaluations to Director when appropriate., • Report all immediate concerns to Director or nearest supervisor., • Always maintain a professional demeanor, as you are a representative of the YMCA., • Wear Y T-shirt or designated attire daily., • Maintain positive attitude, responsibility and self-motivation. Be punctual and reliable., • High School Diploma or GED required., • Previous experience working with children., • Interest and experience in area of specialty., • At least 18 years of age. Creates positive, nurturing relationships with children, while building cooperative relationships with parents/caregivers. Requirements: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Program Assistants will assist with designing and delivering lesson plans in the designated area tailored to the skills and interests of each age group., • Assist in instruction of a group in accordance with YMCA guidelines., • Assist in planning, setup and delivering a variety of activities within interest area that are age specific and that keep children’s engagement and interest high., • Builds effective, authentic relationships with students and parents; helps them connect with each other and the YMCA. Encourages parent involvement and identifies potential volunteers., • Responsible for organized class management ensuring all participants can be seen at all times., • Assists with instruction that is designed for the appropriate age group. Ensures participants understandings of instruction., • Uses teachable moments to discuss character development and provides constructive feedback during class session using positive motivation techniques., • Maintains records as required (i.e. attendance, progress reports, etc.)., • Attends staff meetings and trainings as scheduled., • Follows all YMCA policies, rules, regulations and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures. Completes incident and accident reports as necessary., • Utilize equipment appropriately with activities and incorporate skill development. Organizes and puts away needed class equipment. Clean up area after each session.
