Job Description Job Summary As a Barista, you will be the face of our café, responsible for preparing and serving a wide range of coffee and tea beverages, providing friendly and efficient customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. You’ll play a key role in creating a positive experience for every guest. Key Responsibilities • Beverage Preparation: Expertly craft espresso-based drinks (lattes, cappuccinos, Americanos, etc.), drip coffee, teas, and specialty beverages according to recipes and quality standards., • Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, handle payments, and answer questions about menu items, ingredients, and brewing methods., • Equipment Operation & Maintenance: Operate espresso machines, grinders, brewers, and other café equipment; perform routine cleaning and basic troubleshooting., • Inventory & Stock Management: Monitor stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and pastries; restock shelves and inform management of low inventory., • Cleanliness & Hygiene: Maintain a spotless workstation, follow food safety protocols, and ensure compliance with health and sanitation regulations., • Team Collaboration: Work efficiently with coworkers during busy periods, assist with opening/closing duties, and contribute to a positive team environment., • Upselling & Menu Knowledge: Recommend pairings, seasonal specials, and loyalty programs to enhance the customer experience. Qualifications • Previous barista or food service experience preferred but not required (we provide comprehensive training)., • Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor., • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively., • Basic math skills for handling cash and POS systems., • Availability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays., • Passion for coffee and eagerness to learn about different roasts, origins, and brewing techniques. Physical Requirements • Ability to stand for extended periods., • Lift up to 25 lbs (bags of coffee, milk crates)., • Perform repetitive tasks such as grinding, tamping, and steaming.
