Job Description Why This Role Matters: As the Architectural Project Manager I, you’ll step into a pivotal role as both a people leader and a project strategist, guiding multiple initiatives that shape communities and strengthen CPL’s client partnerships. Working closely with Principals and Senior Project Managers, you’ll play a key part in business development efforts—driving revenue growth, maximizing profitability, and cultivating relationships that fuel long‑term success. You’ll take ownership of estimating fees, defining scopes of work, and steering proposals and contracts for some of our most intricate projects. Beyond project execution, you’ll mentor and inspire junior team members, helping them grow into future leaders. With independence and confidence, you’ll manage moderately complex, small to medium‑sized projects—balancing creativity, precision, and leadership to deliver exceptional outcomes. What You'll Do: • Oversee all aspects of assigned projects, including leading a team and coordinating with internal/external design team members, specialty consultants, clients, construction managers, contractors and governing agencies, • Lead the preparation of documents by the design team for obtaining required local and state permits, • Suggest new ideas and processes, continuing to learn more about the latest industry developments as they pertain to a given market sector, • Interpret, create and/or redefine CPL’s standards, • Work to build and enhance client relationships What You Bring: • Professional degree in your field and have at least seven (7) years of hands-on experience with design and documentation – or an equivalent combination of education and experience, • Thorough understanding of current trends and areas of growth within the architectural industry, • Deep expertise in your design specialty, • Ability to foster a creative design environment, • Strong communication skills, (both written and verbal), • Ability to work across a wide range of areas within the building design environment, • Deep knowledge of industry standards and building codes, • An ability to collaborate productively with multidisciplinary team members, consultant groups and stakeholders on a variety of concurrent projects, • Professional licensure (RA), • LEED and/or WELL accreditation What we offer: CPL cares about your future with us! Job Description Join Our Team as a Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager Are you a skilled field person with a strong background in construction? Arris Contracting, a premier non-residential construction management and planning company, is seeking experienced Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers to join our dynamic team. At Arris, we specialize in delivering high-quality projects, blending innovative planning with expert execution to exceed client expectations. In these roles, you will oversee and coordinate construction projects from start to finish, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety on-site. Primary Responsibilities: • Review construction documents including Plans, Specifications, Budgets, Estimates, RFI’s, Change Orders, Submittals, Schedules, Closeout Documents etc., and understand scope of work, • Develop, manage and track construction project scope and budget to make sure projects are completed on time and within budget., • Collaborate with Field Superintendents in coordinating the work of each trade to ensure cost, schedule, and quality standards are met., • Create and maintain construction project schedules using Critical Path Management (CPM) techniques., • Communicate effectively with the Owner, Architect, Engineer and Contractors and all other project members., • Coordinate team meetings, complete contract documents, and review consultant and contractor pay applications., • Draft meeting agendas for project meetings., • Verify submittal conformity to project specifications., • Direct and maintain document control, distribution and logging, • Ensure that the Architects, Engineers, Consultants and Contractors meet deadlines to keep the project progressing according to schedule., • Review/negotiate contractor changes and design professional additional service requests., • Prepare daily and monthly reports. Competencies: • In depth knowledge of construction principles, techniques, procedures and laws., • Ability to read architectural plans and specifications, estimates, budgets and scope of work., • Skilled in the use of computer software including Microsoft Office, Bluebeam., • Ability to effectively communicate and present information in oral, written and graphic form., • Must be able to collaborate with Owner’s Consultants and effectively direct Prime Contractors., • Demonstrate skills in organizing and evaluating information and in proactively finding solutions for construction projects., • CPM scheduling experience & estimating experience preferred., • Ability to constructively participate in negotiations and dispute resolution., • Must be able to identify changes in scope and manage change orders., • Excellent time management skills and attention to detail. Work Environment: Ability to work in a variety of environments, including office settings and construction sites. Travel to the project construction site when required.
