Job DescriptionBenefits: • 401(k) matching, • Dental insurance, • Health insurance, • Opportunity for advancement, • Paid time off, • Training & development Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and results-driven Foreman to oversee and manage industrial painting and coating projects. The ideal candidate will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while maintaining safety and compliance with regulations. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and excellent communication skills to coordinate between clients, contractors, and internal teams. Work Schedule • Full-time, Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM., • Evening or weekend work as needed., • Overtime is expected greater than 2 weeks per month., • Out of town travel for approximately 2 weeks at aa time expected as much as 10 trips per year. Key Responsibilities: Project Planning and Management: • Assist in the development and execution of project plans, including schedules, budgets, resource allocation, and risk assessments., • Define and communicate project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with clients and stakeholders., • Manage one project at a time, leading crews of 2-4 men. Team Leadership and Coordination: • Lead and oversee project teams, including painters, subcontractors, and suppliers., • Assign tasks, set deadlines, and ensure accountability across the team., • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction., • Work under Superintendents to lead crews on larger projects. Execution and Quality Control: • Monitor daily progress, ensuring adherence to project schedules and budgets., • Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards, safety protocols, and specifications., • Ability and willingness to work with the crew to achieve the project goals. This includes but is not limited to execution of all portions of the project including, but not limited to blasting, hand application of materials, fiberglass installation and spray coating with spray coating with airless, single leg pump and / or conventional spray pots., • Troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions promptly. Reporting and Communication: • Create and send daily force and quantity reports (DFRs) i.e. timesheets plus reports of coating, grit, consumables and equipment used for a given day, • Submit daily quality control reports., • Communicate with customers, management and men as needed to ensure a successful project and team culture. Safety and Compliance: • Enforce compliance with OSHA regulations, environmental standards, and company safety policies., • Conduct regular safety meetings and toolbox talks with project team and ensure proper use of equipment and materials. Essential Functions: 1. Review, understand, and implement daily assigned plans to maintain the production schedule while minimizing the impact on the budget, 2. Analyze and resolve day-to-day issues including personnel conflicts, safety concerns, quality issues, and material constraints, 3. Assess areas of concern prior to assigning personnel to a task, 4. Review concerning the personnel, 5. Implement a strategy to ensure compliance with all technical and safety requirements, 6. Assure organizational compliance with all safety, quality, and environmental, state, local and federal regulations, 7. Performs other duties, including working with the crew, as needed to fulfill the project obligations. This may include all portions of the project including, but not limited to blasting, hand application of materials, fiberglass installation and spray coating with airless, single leg pump and / or conventional spray pots., 8. Inspect work to verify quality and address any defects., 9. Manage blasting and coating equipment and consumables, ensuring all tools are in proper condition and in stock as needed to execute projects., 10. Train and develop the team to improve technical skills and productivity., 11. Implement safety practices for handling paint and materials to maintain a safe workplace. Qualifications: Education and Experience: • High School diploma or GED required., • Must pass a drug test and background check., • Minimum of 3 years of experience in leadership of teams of 4 or more men on heavy industrial painting, coating projects., • Expert level experience and knowledge on how to set up, run and troubleshoot an abrasive blasting operation., • Experience working with fiberglass using various resin technology, including epoxy, vinyl ester and / or polyester resin., • NACE / AMPP CIP 1 Coating Inspector certification is preferred. Skills and Competencies: • Strong knowledge of industrial coatings, surface preparation techniques, and application methods., • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills., • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills., • Ability to write reports., • Ability to read and interpret specifications, sketches and technical drawings., • Very high attention to detail., • Ability to communicate effectively with various customer roles (engineers, EHS, production managers, etc.), • A good listener., • A positive attitude. Work Conditions: • Work in both office trailer and field environments., • Travel to project sites as needed, with occasional overnight stays. Most out-of-town projects last less than 2 weeks. Greater than 60% of work is within 2 hours of Jacksonville, Florida., • Ability to work extended hours to meet project deadlines. Physical Requirements: 1. Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and seek help with weights over 50 pounds., 2. Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time. a. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs/vertical ladders; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. b. This is a physically demanding position and may accommodate some physical disabilities. Physical dexterity may be required when performing walk through and inspection of job sites. In the performance of the walk through you will be required to transverse steep stairwells, vertical ladders and bending or stooping through tight spaces. There may be occasional lifting of materials weighing not more than 50 pounds. Environmental Conditions: This position works on the jobsite. There is exposure to hostile environments, loud noises, hazardous chemicals/fumes and airborne particles, smoke, extreme temperatures moving mechanical parts: high, precarious places. It will be required to wear appropriate PPE including, but not limited to: • Hard Hat, • Ear Plugs or Attenuator, • Safety Shoes, • Dust Mask or Respirator, • Gloves
