Overview: The Field Engineer will oversee and execute the project controls and management of a multiple disciplines. The main functions of the Field Engineer will include (but not limited to) responsibility for a specific area of the project such as direct support to a Craft Superintendent, quantity collection, scheduling, contract administration, project planning and scheduling, procurement, and project reporting. The Field Engineer role requires interfacing with all areas affected by the project including the client(s), engineering/design, subcontractors, distributors, vendors, and the ongoing strategic communication with project management regarding the status of the project. Location & Travel Details: You can be based in any city or state in the U.S.. This is a traveling, project based position, up to 100% of the time. You have the potential to be placed on a project site located in any state throughout the US. You’ll spend 8-18 months on average per project. We offer designated per diem in addition to an excellent base salary to support and help you cover living expenses. This position is eligible for mobilization support (may include mileage reimbursement), and includes one longer weekend every four weeks for additional time at home. Responsibilities: ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: • Represent in a professional manner in all client interaction activities., • Provide the client with contract required reports (weekly, monthly, schedule.), • Understand and follow Corporate Safety Plan and site-specific safety plan., • Perform quantity calculations by taking measurements and determining percentage of completed/installed materials and work., • Develop a process for the creation and review of work plans and work packages., • Provide support to ensure the site quality plan is communicated and all inspections and quality documentation is being completed on time and assembled for final turn over., • Manage the compilation, processing, and customer approval of daily labor timesheets., • Compile and distribute weekly the Average Labor Rate to the front-line supervision., • Train craft and staff employees how to complete Job Safety Analysis (JSA’s), • Participate in or lead jobsite safety reviews, toolbox meetings, mass safety meetings, and safety training., • Order, schedule material deliveries and develop procurement status report., • Plan, schedule, and coordinate work groups on the jobsite., • Perform material takeoffs from drawings, specifications, and other contract documents., • Perform basic engineering calculations and technical drafting to support field operations., • Assist Engineers to gather and prepare data for submittal or transmittal to the customer, vendors, subcontractors, governmental agencies, and internal use., • Prepare field issued purchase orders and subcontracts, prepare material buyout take offs from issued for construction drawings., • Direct home office performed procurement and subcontract administration functions., • Provide field support and supervise subcontractor operations., • Manage all project recordkeeping and correspondence functions including daily reports, photographs, requests for information (RFIs), submittal, transmittal, memorandums, and other contract required correspondence., • Create and closely monitor project controls such as productivity tracking including Average labor rate, indirect scheduling, equipment schedule and log, risk, and opportunity log, etc., • Create and maintain master project schedule., • Generate change orders and as-built data to be reviewed by the Project Manager., • Drive the planning process through the master schedule, 6-week, 3-week, 1-week, and manpower curves., • Administering Accounting/Job Costs/Work in Progress (WIP) Updates: Learn and Assist the Project Manager with these activities., • Lead the budgeting process of taking the Estimate and converting it to the Standard Phase codes., • Alert Project Manager and Home Office of trends regarding labor, material, subcontractor and equipment costs., • Accurately manage the cost forecasting process for entire project (labor, materials, subcontractors, equipment.), • Establish the cashflow forecast and curve to ensure positive cashflow for the project., • Act as primary company representative in the absence of or as directed by Project Manager or Project Engineer., • Know the provisions, terms and scope of the Prime contract., • Support a crew of up to 50 people for short periods if needed., • Lead 1-2 Field Engineers., • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related., • Be knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulations., • When on-site, actively participate in daily toolbox meetings with crews and subcontractors., • Set a personal example of safe behavior., • Ability to read, analyze and identify discrepancies on engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents., • Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environment., • Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative., • Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time., • Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity., • Passion for safety, with the ability to help us ensure that nobody gets hurt., • Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives., • Willing to travel extensively and relocate to the next project location for an extended period (typically 6-12 months.), • Other may duties may be assigned, • Work up to a 12-hour shift doing hard physical work in varying temperatures and outside conditions., • May need to maintain physical strength and stamina; The FACT Program is a multi-disciplinary, clinical team that assumes responsibility for directly providing needed treatment, rehabilitation and support services to adult persons with severe and persistent mental illness promoting recovery, empowerment, self-determination, and decision-making for each FACT participant. Some of the responsibilities of the FACT team include providing clinical and supportive services through advocacy, crisis intervention, assessments, evaluations, treatment planning, case management, and medication management. Participants are also provided with community referrals, symptom education, work-related vocational and educational services, social and interpersonal relationship training, and support for the participants families and care givers. Most of a FACT team member's day is spent in the community completing many of the above duties. Only about 15% of their time is spent in the office. Company vehicles are available, however, members of the FACT team also need to use their personal vehicles to provide services and are eligible for reimbursement for mileage. The FACT team operates both during and after normal business hours, rotates holiday and weekend responsibilities, and team members rotate carrying an emergency on-call cell phone. Job Summary Stellar Energy is hiring a Safety Technician at each of its Manufacturing facilities in Jacksonville. The Safety Technician will facilitate the development of a strong environmental health and safety culture within our manufacturing plant and implement programs, policies, and assessments to ensure Stellar Energy and its employees meet all legal and regulatory requirements and actively support occupational health and safety guidelines. The Safety Technician is a key leader and a critical component involved in creating a safety and environmentally conscious culture at Stellar Energy. Essential Functions: • Lead by example and promote a “zero incidents are possible” and “do what’s right mindset.”, • Assist Safety Specialist and Safety Manager with developing and executing environmental health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines., • Assist line and staff management with understanding OSHA regulations and standards, specifically OSHA 29 CFR 1910 General Industry Standards, including guidance and coaching on compliance, inspections, and implementation of best management practices., • Assist with distribution of environmental health and safety supplies/PPE, and equipment., • Conduct safety inspections and job observations., • Monitor manufacturing operations to identify, mitigate and eliminate workplace hazards., • Identify opportunities to improve employee PPE protection, including new methods or administrative and engineering control changes., • Assist with OSHA injury and illness recordkeeping and reporting requirements., • Assist with stormwater management inspections, hazardous materials management, and hazardous waste storage inspections., • Assist with developing and enforcing policies to establish a culture of health and safety to minimize safety risks., • Assist with developing and conduct training and presentations for environmental health and safety matters and accident prevention programs., • Assist with investigating accidents or near misses to identify root causes, prepare necessary reports, and implement corrective action solutions., • Review SPA’s, JSA’s, and coach, foster and recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities and preventative measures., • Report on health and safety awareness issues and statistics., • Assist Safety Specialist with the weekly safety meetings and Safety Committee., • Update various safety programs (i.e., Avetta, ISNetworld, Veriforce) as needed to maintain compliance with customer guidelines., • Assist with scheduling and maintaining routine environmental health and safety inspections., • Assist with preparation for ISO 9001 and other audits. Work Environment This position is based at our Normandy manufacturing facilities which is a industrial environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, loud noise, and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions. Physical Demands The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move objects up to ten pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 1st shift - 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., 2nd shift – 2:30 p.m. – 1:00 a.m. Mon through Friday however this is subject to change due to business needs. Flexibility and willingness to work overtime if needed at either of our two manufacturing facilities on either 1st or 2nd shift is required. This role is expected to work Saturdays when necessary. Travel Travel between the two Jacksonville manufacturing facilities expected for this position. Required Education and Experience • High school diploma or equivalent GED, • 3 or more years of experience working in an industrial, manufacturing or construction environment where environmental health and safety were integrated into daily work responsibilities and company culture (a bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health may be substituted for work experience)., • Valid driver’s license Preferred Education and Experience • Less than 3 years in a safety related position., • Willingness to gain knowledge and experience to achieve certification in Environmental or Safety Management (ASP, CHST, CSP, CEM, CHMM, REM, STS)., • Associates/bachelor’s degree in safety management or related field.
