Field Technician Position Summary: As Spark continues to grow, we are actively seeking a skilled Field Technician to join our Operations team, reporting directly to the Director of Product. The Field Technician plays an integral, hands-on role in ensuring that Spark Car Wash maintains best-in-class facilities by executing a comprehensive maintenance and repair program. This work protects our equipment, ensures the safety of our team members, and ultimately delivers a cleaner car for our customers. This role will be field based, serving our growing store base in Northern New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. The Field Technician is expected to travel to stores 100% of the time and be on-site at locations daily. Key Responsibilities: • Maintenance Audits: Ensure General Managers and teams complete daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checklists accurately and consistently., • Process & Scheduling: Maintain maintenance schedules for all equipment., • Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, and water system issues., • Safety Optimization: Uphold a clean, safe work environment by enforcing Spark’s safety policies and procedures., • Inventory Management: Track and manage inventory of parts, tools, and key equipment components., • Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with third-party vendors to procure equipment, schedule service, and manage relationships., • Installation Support: Assist with equipment delivery and setup during new store openings or remodels, working closely with the Real Estate, Construction, and Operations teams., • Reporting: Document and report on all equipment downtime, repair activity, and facility-related concerns. Required Skills, Education & Experience: • High school diploma or GED preferred, • Proven experience in troubleshooting and maintaining:, • Electrical Systems: VFDs, relays, sensors, switches, three-phase motors, etc., • Pneumatics & Hydraulics: solenoids, regulators, valves, compressors, pumps., • Mechanical Components: conveyors, bearings, gearboxes, welding, etc., • Water Systems: reclaim, RO systems, boilers, softeners, • Preventative maintenance experience across multiple system types, • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities, • Expected to be accessible by phone during operating hours and on call as scheduled, • Availability to respond to time-sensitive repair needs including nights and weekends, • Willingness to travel throughout NJ, NY, and PA with overnight travel 25% of the time, • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet the company's Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) requirements for operating company vehicles, • Basic computer proficiency, • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and perform physical tasks as required, • Bending, squatting, kneeling, and climbing stairs or ladders, • Competitive base salary plus bonus compensation package, • Excellent comprehensive health coverage, including medical, dental, and vision, as well as ancillary benefits, • 401K with contribution match, • 3 weeks paid vacation, • Company fleet vehicle provided (can be used to commute to and from assigned home location), • Company laptop, • Branded company gear and free car washes
