The Role J&K Manufacturing is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Parts Cleaner to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for cleaning, degreasing, and preparing machined and manufactured components for the next stage of production, inspection, assembly, or final clean. This position plays an important role in maintaining product quality by ensuring parts are free of oils, chips, oxidation, residue, and other contaminants. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, dependable, and committed to following established procedures and quality standards in a manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities • Clean and prepare machined, fabricated, or production parts using approved cleaning methods and equipment, • Remove oil, grease, metal chips, dirt, oxidation, and other contaminants without damaging part surfaces or finishes, • Operate cleaning equipment such as aqueous wash systems, ultrasonic cleaners, hand cleaning tanks, vapor degreasers, or other approved systems, • Follow work instructions, job travelers, and production requirements to ensure parts are cleaned to specification, • Visually inspect cleaned parts to verify cleanliness and overall condition before releasing them to the next department, • Identify contamination, surface defects, or part damage and notify the appropriate supervisor or quality personnel, • Accurately complete required production logs, cleaning records, and job travelers, • Monitor cleaning solutions, tanks, and related equipment to ensure proper operation and compliance with process requirements, • Perform basic housekeeping and routine maintenance on cleaning equipment and the work area, • Handle, store, and dispose of chemicals and hazardous materials in accordance with company procedures, OSHA requirements, and environmental regulations, • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times, • Prevent cross-contamination by properly handling parts during and after the cleaning process Required Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent preferred, • Ability to read and follow work instructions and job travelers, • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify contamination or irregularities on parts, • Ability to safely handle cleaning agents, chemicals, and production equipment, • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, • Reliable attendance and a strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards, • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift or move parts and materials as needed, • Ability to use hands for detailed and repetitive work, • Experience with ultrasonic cleaning, hand cleaning, vapor degreasing, or aqueous wash systems, • Prior experience in a manufacturing, machine shop, industrial, or parts cleaning environment, • Experience working with machined metal parts or in a precision manufacturing environment, • Medical and Vision Coverage, • 401(k) retirement, • Generous PTO Policy, • Paid Holidays, • Monthly Team Lunch, • Paid company closure between Christmas and New Year's, • Year-end bonus opportunity
