We are looking for a Pool Laundry Attendant to join the Fiddler’s Family and share their passion for hospitality with our members, guests, and fellow staff members. Fiddler’s Elbow hosts a wide range of events from comedy shows and concerts to Fourth of July celebrations and New Year’s Eve festivities, our annual FiddleFest Music and Food Festival, Member White-Out Party, golf outings and sporting events. We also host smaller clubs within the Club, such as our beloved Book Club and Cigar Club. Our members host many private events like weddings, social events, and celebrations of life milestones. The Laundry Attendant is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and proper care of linens, towels, uniforms, and other items requiring laundering. This role involves operating laundry equipment, sorting laundry, folding, transport, storing and ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are met. This position is eligible for a Seasonal Pool Retention Bonus! To be eligible for the bonus, the employee must: Begin employment in May, Averages 25+ hours throughout the season AND works through Labor Day If ALL criteria are met, the employee will receive a $500 retention bonus after Labor Day (standard taxes apply). Essential Functions: • Attend pre-function and/or post-function meetings, • Ensure the Opening, Closing and Side-Work Procedures are completed., • Communicate respectfully and professionally to Members, Guests and Colleagues., • Assist with tracking and collecting used towels from designated areas, transporting them back to the laundry for cleaning., • Sort and load towels into washing machines according to fabric type, color, and laundry requirements., • Operate washing and drying machines, ensuring that towels are cleaned to the highest standards., • Monitor and maintain laundry machines, ensuring they are functioning correctly., • Fold and organize towels neatly after drying, preparing them for distribution to various departments or areas., • Inspect towels for stains or damage and take appropriate actions to treat or discard as necessary., • Ensure the proper use of laundry detergents and other cleaning supplies to maintain towel quality., • Maintain a clean and organized laundry area, including regularly cleaning washing machines, drying machines, and folding stations., • Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure the safe handling of laundry equipment and cleaning products., • Track inventory levels of towels and alert supervisors when stocks are running low., • Report any supply needs or equipment issues to management, • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor Skills: • Multi-Tasking, • Organization, • Responsibility, • Concern for Others, • Integrity Personality: • Self-motivated, • Energetic, • Positive Required Education/Experience: • High School Graduate Physical Requirements: • Must be able to communicate and understand the predominant language of our members and guests., • Ability to frequently lift 20 - 25 pounds, • Must have use of both hands and arms, • Must be able to stoop, bend, lift and reach, • Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time., • Must be a team player; possess the ability to work well with others Working Conditions: • Must be able to work indoor and outdoor environment, day and/or night hours, and weekends and holidays., • Outdoor environment, sun, heat, inclement weather Classification: • FLSA – Non-Exempt, Seasonal Why join the Fiddler’s Family?
