Job Description Job Title: Housekeeping Supervisor Location: Renaissance New York Harlem Hotel Department: Housekeeping Reports To: Housekeeping Manager Position Type: Full Time Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee daily housekeeping operations, ensuring that our facilities maintain cleanliness, organization, and a welcoming atmosphere. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage a team effectively while adhering to the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: • Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping activities, including cleaning, maintenance, and inventory management., • Lead and motivate housekeeping staff to achieve high standards of cleanliness and service., • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure adherence to cleanliness and safety standards., • Train, mentor, and evaluate housekeeping staff, providing feedback and support for professional development., • Schedule and allocate staff assignments to optimize productivity and efficiency., • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to maintain adequate stock levels., • Address guest complaints and requests in a professional and timely manner, ensuring guest satisfaction., • Maintain detailed records of housekeeping activities, employee performance, and supply usage., • Implement and enforce health and safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment., • Collaborate with other departments, such as maintenance and front desk, to ensure seamless guest experiences. Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in hospitality or management is a plus., • Previous experience in housekeeping or facility management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role preferred., • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team., • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail., • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies, as well as safety and sanitation regulations., • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment., • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and housekeeping management software., • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written., • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
