Job Description Night Supervisor – Commercial Cleaning Company (Long Island, NY) Shift: 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm Position Overview: We are seeking a reliable and motivated Night Shift Cleaning Supervisor to oversee nightly cleaning operations and support our team. The ideal candidate is a strong team player who leads by example, communicates clearly, and works well with others. This role requires someone confident using timekeeping/clock-in programs, collecting payroll data, and ensuring smooth daily operations. Responsibilities: • Supervise and support night shift cleaning staff, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and fostering teamwork., • Travel daily within the Long Island area to oversee multiple sites., • Conduct daily and monthly inspections to ensure all areas meet company quality and safety standards., • Ensure work is completed according to client contracts and expectations., • Assist in hiring, onboarding, and training new employees when needed., • Ensure compliance with OSHA, company safety procedures, and client requirements., • Manage employee attendance, handle timekeeping and payroll data, and complete incident reporting., • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, submitting requests as needed., • Serve as the point of contact for clients during the shift, providing updates and addressing special requests., • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in commercial cleaning; supervisory experience preferred., • Experience overseeing 50+ employees., • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; must be an effective communicator and active listener., • Ability to speak confidently with client contacts and relay information back to the main office., • Experience with floor maintenance, window cleaning, and general cleaning required., • Valid NYS driver’s license required., • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (especially Excel) and confident using clock-in/clock-out systems., • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods., • Knowledge of cleaning equipment, chemicals, and safety procedures., • Pay: $55,000- $60,000/ Year (based on experience), • Company car and company phone., • 401(k) retirement plan., • Paid sick time and paid holidays., • Steady schedule and long-term stability., • Supportive team environment with growth opportunities.
