One of our clients based in South Florida is looking for a new Clinical Director (CD) to join their team! The Clinical Director will guide practitioners to assess clients' mental health, develop suitable treatments, and make referrals. You will select, train, evaluate, discipline, and motivate staff. You will ensure the quality of clinical documentation at all times. They will have regular, structured meetings with staff to discuss treatments and professional issues. This position will provide individual and group clinical supervision in accordance with standards and guidelines to licensed and unlicensed Behavioral Health Staff (therapists) in various environments and modalities. The emphasis of the Behavioral Health services is multi-faceted and includes meeting of clinical benchmarks for quality care and productivity, ensuring proper care is being provided in accordance with program contracts, providing ongoing clinical and administrative staff development, and program planning. Duties may include establishing clinical practice policy, case conferencing, creating and reviewing clinical documentation as needed, and monthly chart auditing. To be successful in this role, you need to display strong leadership and make prudent decisions to maintain practitioners who can adequately fulfill clients’ treatment needs. Clinical Director Responsibilities: • Oversight of day-to-day operations in the delivery of behavioral/mental health services for our program., • Provide behavioral/mental health consultation, including the development of Mental Health and Health Education materials to the program staff., • Provide guidance and direction to therapists and staff on clinical intervention strategies, treatment planning, group therapy dynamics, and behavioral health screenings as necessary for excellent service delivery standards, • Manage a caseload of 10-15 clients, • Overseeing and reviewing practitioners' work procedures., • Counseling, motivating, and disciplining practitioners, and referring advanced issues to upper management., • Conducting performance reviews., • Ensuring practitioners comply with licensure and registration requirements., • Ensuring compliance, accuracy, and quality of clinical documentation., • Assisting practitioners by supervising complex cases., • Enhancing operations by ensuring sufficient staffing and adequate access to services., • Developing programs and ensuring compliance with procedures and policies., • Assess professional capabilities of clinicians, both licensed and unlicensed, to provide behavioral/mental health and assessment services to adults, youth, and children as directed and provide performance evaluations in compliance with standards., • Working in collaboration with case management, employees or contractors, and outside consultants/leveraged community partners as needed to ensure a high-quality continuum of care that comprehensively meets the needs of the client., • Conduct case conferences with the program Team and other staff monthly., • Review and sign off on all case records required and in compliance with all Federal, State, County, and funders, for pre-licensed registered MHP staff., • Maintain records sufficient to meet County, State, and Federal clinical documentation requirements, as well as ensuring that the program is audit-ready., • Engage in quality assurance processes and meet the benchmark set for performance and contract deliverables., • Attend trainings and workshops as required for professional development or mandated by contract., • Complete various chart audits for documentation compliance, guiding MHP staff based on results, recommend training, and provide in–service training., • Provide clinical supervision to all MHPs, interns, volunteers, and administrative staff monthly, as required. Requirements: • A doctoral degree in psychology or a related field is preferred., • A licensed mental health clinician, including psychiatrists, psychologists, licensed professional counselors (LPC), and licensed clinical social workers (LCSW) required., • At least two (2) years of verified post-master’s experience providing mental health treatment, including psychotherapy, counseling, and assessment, in the treatment of children., • Bilingual in English, Creole, and Spanish is a plus but not required, • 5+ years of supervisory experience in a similar role., • Proficient with MS Office, Word, and Excel., • Valid driver’s license., • Proficient with supervision, service delivery, and case management fundamentals., • Proficient knowledge of applicable laws., • Strong people skills., • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
