We boldly go. Position Description This is a Manufacturing Engineering Technologist position that will support the efforts of both DTO and NPD projects. Our METech's are asked to perform a variety of duties that manufacturing. If you are looking for a challenging position and are willing to learn, consider applying. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Expected to monitor and support all NPD and DTO units from a manufacturing perspective., • Assist the NPD engineering team with fixture modifications/trials, layout, and act as internal supplier liaison., • Assist EOL Testing team with mechanical support., • Assist materials with DTO/NPD builds as needed., • Support continuous improvement efforts by addressing engineering, quality, technical, product, process, and equipment issues., • Provide engineering support for production and work with the Andon escalation., • Assist with product changes, transfers, and new product development and integration., • Help develop and maintain standard work for areas assigned and other document controls., • Demonstrate ability to successfully train others, using training techniques appropriate to the situation and the individual., • Assist with 5S activities in assigned area. Help also design of fixtures and tool boards., • Supports team and cross functional activities. Competent use of the 9 Step Problem Solving Process., • Participate in product standardization and VAVE analysis., • General production line support., • Train OMT to troubleshoot. Key Qualifications \n • Associates degree preferred.\n, • 3 years of manufacturing or relative experience.\n, • Knowledge in welding, machining, & wiring.\n\n • Significant assembly and/or internal supply process knowledge and skills., • Active involvement in continuous improvement initiatives (like Quality, Training, or Safety coordinator) a plus., • Must have a mechanical and/or electrical aptitude., • Must have demonstrated creativity and solid problem-solving skills., • Must be able to read and understand engineering drawings, specifications, and process documentation., • Must be able to use a multimeter., • Must be able to know or learn windchill, CINCOM, and Pueblo Apps., • PIT, forklift, and manlift training required. Certifications can be obtained within the first 90 days., • Must be a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills., • Must be able to effectively build relationships with employees at all levels., • Able to obtain Brazing certification, Welding Certifications, and other Certification., • Demonstrated effectiveness in communications with others through a specific opportunity, as determined by department needs., • Experience with Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, for example) and in use of e-mail., • Cad Experience is a Plus., • Proficient in reading and basic mathematics.
