Job DescriptionSenior Design Solar EngineerMiami, FL $120,000+ DOE Power the Future of Clean EnergyWe’re seeking a Senior Design Solar Engineer to lead and elevate the engineering function for utilityscale and commercial solar energy projects. What You’ll DoIn this senior leadership role, you will: • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of solar engineers across multiple projects, • Oversee the engineering design of solar PV systems, including layout, electrical, structural, and civil components, • Review and approve engineering drawings, calculations, and technical documentation, • Collaborate closely with project management, construction, procurement, and business development teams, • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes, regulations, and industry standards, • Provide technical leadership during project development, permitting, construction, and commissioning phases, • Identify and implement engineering best practices, process improvements, and cost efficiencies, • Support site visits and field troubleshooting as needed, • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or related field required; Master’s preferred), • 8+ years of solar energy engineering experience, including 3+ years in a leadership or management role, • Strong handson experience with initial solar PV system design, • Proven success managing engineering teams and largescale solar projects, • Indepth knowledge of solar PV systems, interconnection requirements, and grid standards, • Familiarity with NEC, IEEE, UL, and applicable permitting and regulatory requirements, • Proficiency with solar design and engineering software such as AutoCAD, PVsyst, Helioscope, or similar tools, • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills, • Professional Engineer (PE) license, • Experience in designing utilityscale solar projects from scratch, • Background working crossfunctionally with EPC or renewable energy organizations, • Lead impactful solar projects that contribute to a cleaner, more sustainable future, • Work on complex, highvisibility renewable energy initiatives, • Competitive salary with longterm growth potential, • Collaborative, forwardthinking engineering environment #2.26_250 CAREERXCHANGE, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
