Position Summary Lead and execute HR initiatives that enhance employee engagement, experience, and retention. This on-site role in Fishkill, NY manages employee relations, benefits and leave administration, compliance, HR operations, and HR systems, while serving as a direct resource to employees and managers. Schedule, Location & Compensation • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, • Location: HK Programs corporate office at 2 Summit Court, Fishkill, NY 12524, • Drive employee engagement initiatives through surveys, community communications, and regular check-ins, • Maintain Community Page content and coordinate all-staff Town Halls, • Administer benefits for new hires, life events, and open enrollment, • Partner with benefits brokers to ensure ACA compliance and appropriate plan coverage, • Manage Workers’ Compensation, Short-Term Disability, FMLA, PFL, and unemployment claims, • Independently manage employee relations matters, including conflicts, performance concerns, and disciplinary actions, • Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, and FLSA, • Partner with legal counsel on employment-related issues, • Draft, update, and enforce employee handbook policies, • Support managers directly across core HR Generalist functions, including performance management, benefits administration, and disciplinary actions, • Process employee lifecycle changes, including terminations, role changes, and pay adjustments, • Manage employee offboarding and associated documentation including DOL filings, • Administer and support HRIS/HRIMS systems (Paylocity, ADP, Paychex, or similar platforms); Paylocity experience is a plus, • Strong organizational skills with consistent follow-through, • Experience with employee conflict resolutions, • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, • Experience with an HRIS/HRIMS system (Paylocity, ADP, Paychex, or similar platforms); Paylocity experience is a plus, • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential employee information and sensitive matters with discretion and sound judgment, • Strong communication skills and attention to detail, • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365Education & Experience, • Associate’s degree in a related field or 1–2 years of relevant HR experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experienceBenefits, • Employer Paid Childcare – Available for school-age children (ages 5–13) enrolled in our program on the days you work with us., • Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance, • AFLAC Supplemental Plans, • 401(k) for eligible employees, • Paid Holidays, • Paid Time Off (PTO), • Paid Sick Time Off, • On-Demand Pay, • Career Development & Growth OpportunitiesWhy Join Our Team, • Be part of a supportive, people-first culture where HR plays a central role in employee success, • Work in a dynamic, growing organization with opportunities to take initiative and make a real impact, • Collaborate with dedicated professionals who value teamwork, engagement, and innovation
