LabCare Latham is seeking a full time Evening Lab Supervisor to join their team! This is a full time 40-hour work week, 11:30am-8:00pm. The Evening Clinical Laboratory Supervisor assists the Laboratory Manager in coordinating laboratory activities to ensure accurate, timely, and cost-effective testing of patient samples. This position supports quality management systems, maintains compliance with all state and federal regulations, and provides supervision and technical support to evening laboratory staff. Responsible for ordering and maintaining all laboratory supplies. Responsibilities: Include but are not limited to the following: • Assists with scheduling, training, and competency assessments of laboratory staff., • Participates in hiring, performance reviews, and disciplinary action as appropriate., • Ensures proper collection, processing, and testing of all specimens per established protocols., • Oversees Quality Control, Quality Assurance, and Proficiency Testing programs., • Ensures Standard Operating Procedure Manuals (SOPMs) are current and signed off., • Performs laboratory testing in chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, and immunology., • Maintains detailed records of procedure performance, patient results, troubleshooting logs, and quality control., • Reviews and verifies laboratory reports for accuracy and completeness before release., • Notifies physicians and nurses of “red flag” or critical results per established policies., • Maintains equipment and supply inventory; performs and documents preventive and corrective maintenance., • Troubleshoots instrumentation issues and coordinates vendor service when necessary., • Ensures compliance with all safety, infection control, and OSHA standards., • Maintains a safe and clean work area, properly handling and disposing of biohazardous materials., • Participates in continuing education and maintains documentation per NYS requirements., • Builds a positive rapport within the organization and throughout the laboratory community., • Oversees LIS communications and technical functions related to laboratory operations. SMC is actively looking for a Senior Level ICT Designer to direct and execute telecommunications design for mission critical projects. Typical project types may include design of greenfield and brownfield data center facilities, design of fit-out packages for hyperscale and enterprise clients of colocation providers, data center campus planning, conceptual designs and feasibility studies, and other mission critical applications such as command-and-control centers. This candidate shall be capable of executing telecommunications design projects independently, beginning with driving concept level discussions and proceeding through generations of design plans and specifications for permitting and construction. The telecommunication design scope will be a part of a broader project and therefore this candidate will be highly capable of interfacing with design leads within SMC (mechanical, electrical, fire protection, plumbing) as well as externally including architectural, civil, structural, etc. The ideal candidate will additionally be involved in growing the telecommunications expertise within the company, through internal training as well as recruiting and hiring as project work grows; development and implementation of design standards; oversight and execution of quality control practices. RESPONSIBILITIES This candidate will have the opportunity to direct and execute the telecommunications design while working and coordinating with clients and design leads from all disciplines. This candidate shall have the ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and with clients while being able to meet scheduled project deadlines. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Design telecommunications infrastructure for mission critical buildings and campuses including outside plant infrastructure, inside plant cabling, cable tray and conduit conveyance systems, telecommunications space layouts, telecommunications bonding network systems, rack elevations, wireless access point layouts, and communication for MEP controls/monitoring systems., • Produce complete sets of construction drawings suitable for stamping and submission utilizing Autodesk Revit., • Working knowledge of Telecommunications standards, including but not limited to TIA, BICSI, and UL., • Coordinate with all disciplines for required telecommunication interfaces., • Creating, editing, and understanding of Division 27 Specifications., • Coordinate power requirements with internal or external electrical engineers., • Be capable of reviewing and understanding client standards, design criteria, applicable standards, and best practices in order to apply them to a design project., • Understand local and national construction codes and project specifications., • Perform construction administration tasks, including but not limited to responding to RFI’s and Submittals., • Have experience with the use of Microsoft tools such as Word, Power Point, Excel, and Teams., • Meet project deadlines, including working necessary hours to complete major deliverables., • Have the ability to travel when required to project sites (approximately 10-15% travel)., • Have the ability to clearly communicate with others in both written and spoken forms., • Lead junior engineers, designers, and modelers, and coordinate the tasks of small project teams to execute delivery of specific design elements., • Mentor and train other designers and modelers to develop telecommunications design knowledge base., • Education in an engineering or construction-related field, or equivalent hands-on experience., • Minimum of 10 years of experience in telecommunications design, with a strong emphasis on Autodesk Revit for drawing development. Experience with MEP or telecommunications firms, consulting roles, or telecommunications construction will also be considered., • Minimum 7 years of experience with an MEP/Telecommunications consulting firm or specialty telecommunications consulting firm, • Experience in telecommunications design for industrial and commercial buildings., • Experience in telecommunications design for mission critical projects is a plus., • Experience working across the entire construction process, from schematic design through construction administration, including review of submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings, and field work such as existing condition surveys, site observations, and punch lists., • Experience using construction management tools such as Procore and Autodesk Construction Cloud., • Experience with design of security and/or audio visual systems is not required but would be a plus., • Knowledge of controls and monitoring systems for mechanical and electrical systems is a plus. Base Compensation: $125,000-$185,000 (Actual compensation is subject to variation due to factors such as education, experience, skills, and/or location).
