Job Description Summary: A critical role that will manage the planning, coordination, and implementation of all comprehensive safety and security protective security functions for the Marina. Working closely with FICA counterparts from the Public Safety Department and FICA Management to ensure the safety and security of the Marina and Club Venues. Will supervise Marina Security staff. Duties and Responsibilities: • Work with the Director of Marina Operations to identify and define a security plan that is relevant to the safety and security needs of the Club and Marina., • Responsible for assisting with the daily and nighttime supervision to ensure the safety of members, guests, and employees., • Responsible for supervising, scheduling, training, of assigned Marina FICA security officers., • Serving as a liaison with FICA for the Clubs overall security/safety collaborations., • Comprehension of all Club-Marina policies and procedures and implement emergency response activities as appropriate., • Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting docks, vessel and marina facilities, inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry, • Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities, informing violators of policy and procedures, • Performs opening and closing job duties, • Maintains environment by monitoring and setting marina equipment controls, • Protect the company's assets relative to theft, assault, fire and other safety issues, • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols, • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations, • Daily patrol of the interior and the perimeter of the Marina and Club property to observe and identify potential safety risks, security risks, and undesirable conditions., • Coordinate and lead response to emergencies including, but not limited to, safety hazards, fires, medical emergencies, and threats to life and/or property, • Promote safe work practices., • Initiate preliminary investigations into incidents/accidents; initiate reports and ensure the accuracy of necessary documentation and supporting documents, pictures, etc., • Perform protective, preventative, safety, and security-related enforcement functions touring Club areas to ensure the safety and well-being of members/guests, and employees., • Implements and monitors all related SOPs, Mission Vision, and Values in a courteous and restrained manner in coping with emergencies, undesired conduct, disturbances, and threats., • Patrol, walk, and climb stairs, and walk docks of the interior and exterior perimeter of the Club/Marina to observe and identify potential security and safety risks or undesirable conditions., • Maintain order in the Club/Marina, dealing with the welfare of members/guests, • Coordinate expedient response to emergency conditions such as fire, fire or safety hazards, and threats to life and/or property in a calm, rational, and persuasive manner., • Handle undesired conduct and potential violations of Club policy as warranted for the security and safety of Club members/guests and employees., • Watch for suspicious persons entering, exiting, or loitering around the Club/Marina areas., • Conduct walkthrough observations of the entire Marina/Docks., • Promote safe work practices., • Observe the security monitors for any unusual activity and in the case of suspicious behavior report directly, via radio, to FICA Public Safety; report any alarms similarly., • Monitor life safety system installed at the Marina including AED, alarm pull stations, fire extinguishers, and sprinklers., • Displays leadership in guest hospitality, exemplifies excellent customer service and creates a positive atmosphere for others., • Ensures compliance with all Club policies, standards, and procedures by training, supervising, and follow-up., • and hands-on management, • Exercise discretion and independent judgment in the completion of job duties related to matters of significance., • Complete all other tasks as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred., • Valid Florida Driver’s License, • Valid Florida Security License D License, • Must have a clean MVR, • 5-7 years of verifiable experience in security/loss prevention preferably in a Club, Hotel, or Resort setting, • Be at least 21+ years of age, • Required, comfortable working outdoors in all elements of the weather for the entire shift, • Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods., • Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and have a strong desire to develop systems and procedures while understanding the flexibility needed in a transition and building period., • A proven collaborator and diplomatic team player, • Effective interpersonal skills and outstanding networking abilities, • High energy, creative, outgoing personality, • Strong organization and planning skills with exceptional attention to detail, • The ability to interact with members and guests as well as oversee all administrative functions related to Club-related matters., • “Whatever it takes” attitude and the ability to work as a member of a team of professional staff members. Working Conditions: • Work is performed outdoors walking/standing for extended periods., • Ability to have a flexible schedule to include, but not limited to, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays., • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to meet deadlines. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use their hands to finger, handle, or feel objects. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 15-20 pounds.
