About the role: · Job Title: Senior Consultant – for Kantar Consulting Team · Job Location: New York City, Boston, or Chicago Primary Objective • Delivery of high-quality/high-impact brand strategy and consulting solutions, while actively building client relationships and consulting skills in a dynamic, collaborative environment., • Starting to build client relationships and take a lead role in managing commercial aspects of client engagements Scope of Role • Delivery of a variety of consulting projects such as brand strategy, market structures, consumer & demand segmentations, brand valuations, brand portfolio strategy, brand architecture, brand purpose, organizational performance, front end innovation, commerce strategy etc., • Responsible for comprehension of the client’s marketing problems, managing and execution of our consulting solution strategy on medium-low complexity accounts, while supporting higher complexity projects, and always ensuring outputs are meaningful, accurate and actionable for clients., • Actively participate in client and project design discussions – proactively engaging with team members and client to ensure we achieve project objectives, • Responsible for ownership of specific phases or discrete work processes on projects, • Provide input into development of consulting solution deliverables at all phases (e.g., questionnaire, sample design and analytic plan), • Conduct data analysis, synthesizes data from multiple sources, displays critical and analytical thinking skills, • Take an active role in storytelling by finding interesting facts in the data/preliminary reporting and generating insights., • Manage timelines and quality of work products, working with internal departments and clients to achieve successful outcomes following solution and industry best practices, • Proactively identify and solve project issues as they arise, • Perform in-depth quality checks at various stages of the research to ensure accuracy, • Optimize efficiency of delivery without sacrifice of quality, • Help build successful project teams, providing support and guidance for 1-2 junior project team members on most projects, coordinating and managing to ensure timely execution of project, • Demonstrate a high-level understanding of Kantar data sources, tools, and practice areas, and follow the latest developments., • Exhibit good critical thinking skills, can follow a project workplan and analytic plan, is comfortable sharing ideas and point of view, • Help with presentation development, ensuring client deliverables are clear, relevant and impactful; starting to build presentation skills and facilitation capabilities, • Actively seeks opportunities to support new business development and proposals. Can customize proposals with guidance from senior team members, • Serve as a go-to for new team members who have questions through onboarding, • Take ownership of building your own skills through training and asking questions, • Challenge the status quo, look for opportunities to improve, automate, streamline processes – including incorporating the use of AI to improve efficiency and work processes., • Demonstrate curiosity and a commitment to building an understanding of our capabilities, solutions, data sources and analytic methods., • Proactively build relationships with consulting colleagues to receive support and feedback, • Understand our culture and how to take an active role on the team (e.g., attending/participating in ERG/Social Community meetings/activities/training Essential Knowledge & Experience • 2+ years of professional experience in similar capacity or MMR program graduate; market research or consulting experience preferred with exposure to quantitative methodologies, • Bachelor’s degree; preferred major or concentration in marketing / market research, social science, mathematics or other analytic fields, • Strong process and time management skills; capable of prioritizing and delivering against multiple/competing deadlines, • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft office tools and ability to master other needed business tools (e.g., SPSS, Survey Reporter, data management / cross tab tools and other proprietary tools), • Experience with AI tools and openness to exploring more ways to incorporate AI into our work and processes, • Strong detail-orientation skills; ability to manage multiple work streams and among multiple teams,, • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with ability to use logical reasoning and problem solving, • Natural curiosity, a can-do attitude, driven and ability to take initiative, • Takes the initiative and has a proactive mindset to work independently and within a team, • Excellent organizational and time management skills, • Passion for brands, marketing and / or consumer psychology Essential Skills & Capabilities Communication • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills, • Confidently delivers messages and exemplifies Kantar values Technical / Analytical • Working knowledge of marketing research methods, tools, and science, • Rigorous analytical skills – both quantitative (Excel, SPSS etc.) and qualitative, • Demonstrates understanding of various industry solutions; interest / intellectual curiosity in learning the various Kantar solutions, • Demonstrates technical leadership for maximum client impact Location New York, World Trade CenterUnited States of America Kantar Rewards Statement At Kantar we have an integrated way of rewarding our people based around a simple, clear and consistent set of principles.
