American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Seattle, Washington. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Labor and Delivery, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: ASAP, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, nights, • Provide care in a high-risk Antepartum hospital unit, • Patient population includes 6 to 41 week antepartum mothers with conditions such as PTL, previa, preeclampsia, diabetes, hypertension, PROM, twins, and substance use disorder in pregnancy, • Care for patients experiencing fetal demise or loss, and for postpartum mothers whose infants are in the NICU; no newborns are on this unit, • Unit involves support of bedside amnio or sterile spec exams, use of PCA pumps, PICC/central lines, syringe pumps, heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate, • Assist with sterile speculum exams and IV therapy including maintaining central lines, • Float required to Postpartum unit, • Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week (19:00–7:30), • Epic EMR used; prior experience required, • Main responsibilities include caring for high-risk antepartum and select postpartum patients, supporting bedside procedures, and managing complex medication regimens, • Required to float between all local facilities as needed, • First-time travelers are welcome to apply, • Scrubs of any color acceptable; facility-provided scrubs required when floated to L&D units, • Minimal to no RTO will be accommodated; submit all time off requests at application, • All required online training modules must be completed before starting the assignment and annually thereafter, • Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for the travel contract unless otherwise specified\n \n Requirements\n, • Active WA RN or Compact State license required, • Minimum 2 years of recent antepartum nursing experience required; C-section experience preferred, • AWHONN Advanced, BLS, and NRP certifications required; ACLS preferred, • Experience with high-risk maternal cases and relevant medications such as anticoagulants, insulin drips, and magnesium sulfate necessary, • Ability to maintain and manage central lines (CVC/PICC), • Must provide two supervisory references covering at least one year within the last three years in a comparable specialty, • SSN, DOB, and valid driver’s license required for compliance, • Previous permanent staff at Swedish facilities must have at least 3 months of separation before eligible to return as a traveler\n Benefits\n, • High Pay and Bonuses, • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options, • 401(k) Plan, • Weekly Payroll Deposit, • Free Online CEUs, • Generous Housing Allowance, • Travel and Licensure Reimbursements, • Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
