Job DescriptionJob Title: Material Handler Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to ensure the seamless flow of components and finished goods in our manufacturing environment. This role is crucial in maintaining the efficiency of our operations and ensuring timely processing and delivery of materials. Responsibilities • Ensure all components and finished goods are processed on time and flow effectively., • Load and unload pallets; check, label, and store items accurately., • Schedule shipments both internally and externally., • Operate forklifts, hand trucks, and pallet jacks to move materials within the plant., • Log the movement of incoming and outgoing materials in the computer system., • Pull and box parts following special handling instructions., • Communicate outside processing schedules in person and through email., • Provide training to new or recent hires to improve their skills., • Ensure equipment is safe to operate and personal protective equipment (PPE) is used., • Demonstrate self-accountability and support team members as needed., • Perform other duties as assigned.Essential Skills, • ERP experience is essential; ability to describe and utilize ERP systems effectively., • Forklift certification is preferred; training can be provided., • Detail-oriented with an ability to handle numbers and follow instructions accurately., • Proficient in professional communication., • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite and general computer use.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Collaboration skills for effective teamwork. Work Environment Our workplace is a family-owned manufacturing company specializing in custom commercial and industrial sewn products for the hunting and shooting industry. We firmly believe in the 'Made in U.S.A.' philosophy and sell our packaged products worldwide, including OEM parts to multiple firearm companies. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of WOOD VILLAGE, Oregon. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
