Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Purchasing Agent - Logistics Coordinator based in Gresham, OR. The individual will be responsible for managing purchase orders, overseeing procurement and purchasing processes, and coordinating logistics operations. Additional responsibilities include negotiating contracts, maintaining vendor relationships, ensuring the accuracy of order fulfillment, and providing exceptional customer service. The role requires strong organizational and communication skills to ensure seamless operations within the supply chain. Key Responsibilities: • Source and evaluate suppliers for quality, price, reliability, and delivery performance, • Negotiate terms and conditions, pricing, and contracts with vendors, • Issue purchase orders and manage order confirmations, lead times, and delivery schedules, • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate restocking in line with production or sales demands, • Track shipments and resolve any delivery issues or delays, • Maintain accurate purchasing records and supplier databases, • Collaborate with operations, accounting, and warehouse teams to align procurement with organizational needs, • Ensure compliance and accuracy between Purchase orders and Confirmations. Qualifications: • Proven experience as a Purchasing Agent or in a similar procurement role, • Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills, • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel, • Ability to analyze market trends and supplier performance, • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, • [Preferred: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field]
