A Project Manager to support the day-to-day operations of our project team; managing workplans and logistics, tracking deadlines, supporting communications, community engagement, engagement with coalitions and allied entities. The manager helps maintain accurate data, engage and liaison with key stakeholders, contribute to community building efforts, coordinate all reporting requirements, and lift content that reflects community voice and local priorities. Title:Project Manager Reports to: Associate Director of Movement Building FLSA Status: Exempt Position Status:Regular, Full Time, Salary Starting Wage Range: $73,788 - $88,546 per year (The selected applicants starting wage will be determined based on the applicants educational background, relevant experience, and tenure within the organization, in alignment with internal equity considerations.) Effective Date: February 1, 2026 Primary Location:Hybrid; 25% from a home office, and 75% in the field traveling to different worksites to complete programmatic activity in the community. Required Travel:Up to 75% of the time within San Bernardino city and county, with the ability to travel to multiple locations in a single day. Schedule:Typically Monday-Friday with some evening and weekend work as required to meet program objectives. Position Summary Under the direct supervision of the Associate Director of Movement Building, the Project Manager supports the day-to-day operations of our project team; managing workplans and logistics, tracking deadlines, supporting communications, community engagement, engagement with coalitions and allied entities. This position will create opportunities to elevate community voices for the purposes of informing local and state policies and will engage as a liaison with decision-makers when appropriate. The Project Manager will play a key role in ensuring that our fundraising efforts are coordinated, consistent, and grounded in our values. Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities Program Strategy, Planning, and OperationsDevelop and implement a strategic vision for the community project.Create and manage workplans and objectives for program implementation, including population served, contracts, staffing patterns, and projected number of clients.Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.Lead continuous efforts to strengthen program systems, organizational processes, and service quality.Develop and implement systems that support program implementation, reporting, and advocacy efforts.Track deadlines, coordinate logistics, and ensure the approved workplan is executed as the team grows. Community Engagement, Partnerships, and AdvocacyLead deep community engagement efforts with underserved communities in San Bernardino County.Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including public agencies, service providers, coalitions, and community partners.Serve as a liaison with allied organizations and decision-makers to elevate community voices and local priorities.Stay informed about local news and public and private initiatives related to community development and funding opportunities in San Bernardino County.Contribute to community-building efforts and lift content that reflects community voice for policy and systems change. Financial Management, Fund Development, and SustainabilityWork closely with Visin y Compromiso accountants to develop, monitor, and manage program budgets.Conduct financial analysis to guide strategic decision-making and ensure financial sustainability.Support coordinated fundraising efforts that are consistent, values-aligned, and grounded in community priorities.Identify and pursue partnerships and funding opportunities to support and expand the program. Compliance and Goal-MeetingMonitor and ensure the programs compliance with all health regulations, and organizational policies.Consistently meet all assigned productivity and outcome goals.In all activities, comply with all contracts, funder requirements, and VyC procedures and policies.Meet or exceed all goals and requirements established by management for this position. Additional DutiesProvide support to other departments as needed.Attend all scheduled meetings with the project teams, as needed.Represent VyC at meetings or trainings, as requested by management.Work with vendors, contractors, and consultants to achieve departmental goals, as needed and availableProvide general and administrative support to management and designated staff as requested.Other duties as assigned. Required Competencies Education Bachelors Degree from an accredited four-year institution, preferably in health education, healthcare administration, business administration, public health another relevant field, or commensurate experience. Lived experience and strong historical experience in these fields will be taken into considerationCommensurate Experience in this caserefers to professional experience that is equivalent in value or significance to a formal educational qualification, such as a Bachelor's Degree in public health. This may include substantial work experience in a related field that demonstrates relevant skills, knowledge, and competencies comparable to those typically acquired through formal education. ExperienceMinimum of five (5) years of experience in project management, with at least three (3) years in a leadership role.A minimum of five (5) years experience working with monolingual and/or bilingual Latino communities.A minimum of five (5) years experience working with underserved communities.Demonstrated experience managing complex healthcare or public health programs and services.Proven strategic planning, financial management, and operational oversight track record.Experience in community health, community development, coalition building, health inequities and work in the Spectrum of Prevention. SkillsExperience in and proven track record in effective project management.Core understanding and knowledge of the city and county of San Berardino.Deep knowledge and experience with the Promotora Model or other community leadership models and their role in creating health equity.Highly experienced in community engagement strategies, experience and history.Strong discernment and assessment skills, including ability to navigate community dynamics.Demonstrated knowledge of state healthcare policies, particularly those related to health access and community health.Commitment to improving health outcomes for underserved populations.Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.Adaptable and reliable in the face of conflict, crisis, or changing priorities.Advanced project management skills, including the ability to oversee multiple tasks, timelines, and deliverables.Budget management skills to plan, monitor, and report on program expenditures.Data oversight skills, including collection, management, analysis, and reporting for funders and stakeholders.Ability to collaborate closely and across all VyC departments with a wide range of staff, community members, partner agencies, and funders.Strong attention to detail, strategic thinking, organizational abilities, and effective establishment of priorities.Demonstrated cultural humility.
