Job Description Turner's Outdoorsman is seeking a Regional Operations Manager to join the team. The Regional Operations Manager is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of Turner’s Outdoorsman’s business operations, including sales performance, operational execution, inventory management, systems, and regulatory compliance. This role is not limited to sales leadership; it carries full accountability for the operational health, compliance integrity, and financial performance of the organization. This role is a senior leadership position with District Managers reporting directly into it. The position is designed to evolve into a Director-level role based on performance, business needs, and organizational structure. The ideal candidate brings a strong operations and compliance background, with proven experience in highly regulated retail environments. This individual must be detail-oriented, systems-driven, and capable of ensuring strict adherence to all federal, state, and local firearms regulations while driving revenue growth and operational excellence. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Sales Leadership & Strategy • Develop and execute company-wide sales strategies to drive revenue growth across retail and e-commerce channels., • Establish sales goals, performance metrics, and forecasting models aligned with overall business objectives., • Analyze sales trends, customer behavior, and market conditions to identify opportunities and risks., • Oversee day-to-day operational performance across all locations, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and accountability., • Develop, implement, and enforce operational policies, procedures, and controls., • Drive continuous improvement in processes, workflows, and systems., • Ensure strong internal controls related to cash handling, inventory, and loss prevention., • Provide direct, hands-on management of retail locations, including serving as a District Manager for assigned stores when needed., • Act as Store Manager on an interim basis to ensure continuity of operations, leadership coverage, and compliance., • Conduct regular store visits to assess operational performance, compliance adherence, customer experience, and leadership effectiveness., • Support new store openings, including pre-opening planning, staffing, training, operational setup, compliance readiness, and post-opening stabilization., • Participate in trade shows, industry events, and promotional events, representing the company in a professional and compliant manner., • Maintain oversight of inventory accuracy, controls, and reconciliation, with particular attention to firearms and regulated products., • Ensure effective use of POS systems, inventory management systems, and reporting tools., • Partner with procurement and distribution teams to optimize inventory levels and turnover., • Ensure full compliance with all ATF regulations, California firearms laws, and other applicable federal, state, and local requirements., • Oversee firearms compliance processes including recordkeeping, audits, inspections, and corrective actions., • Serve as a senior point of accountability for regulatory audits and compliance reviews., • Train and hold leadership teams accountable for compliance standards and best practices., • Provide direct leadership and oversight for store leadership and operational teams., • Work effectively and collaboratively with all department heads and executive leadership to ensure alignment across sales, operations, compliance, finance, HR, marketing, IT, and loss prevention., • Serve as a trusted business partner to the executive team, contributing to strategic planning, operational decision-making, and risk management., • Ensure consistent communication and execution of company initiatives across departments., • Responsible for hiring, training, coaching, performance management, and, when necessary, termination of employees, in partnership with Human Resources., • Ensure all employees receive appropriate onboarding, firearms compliance training, and ongoing operational training., • Hold leadership teams accountable for adherence to company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements., • Identify talent gaps and develop succession plans for key leadership and operational roles., • Foster a culture of professionalism, accountability, compliance, and customer service excellence., • Legally eligible to work in a firearms environment (DOJ Certificate of Eligibility required)., • 10+ years of leadership experience in retail, operations, or multi-unit management., • Demonstrated experience in a highly regulated environment (firearms, alcohol, cannabis, healthcare, or similar preferred)., • Strong operational and compliance background; sales-only leadership experience is not sufficient., • Proven expertise in inventory management, POS systems, and operational reporting., • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage risk and compliance obligations., • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills., • Ability to balance revenue growth with regulatory and operational discipline., • High school diploma or GED required., • Must be at least 18 years old., • Minimum of 45 hours per week; schedule may vary., • Competitive salary., • Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance., • Generous employee discount on Turner's Outdoorsman products., • A supportive and collaborative work environment with a focus on work-life balance.
