We are seeking a hands-on, floor-present leader to drive our transportation and logistics operations. This onsite role is deeply embedded in both inbound and outbound functions, partnering closely with shipping teams, carriers, and cross-functional departments to ensure freight moves efficiently, cost-effectively, and on time. Core Responsibilities • Be an embedded floor leader, working closely with outbound and shipping operations to identify real-time process improvements and cost-saving opportunities., • Conduct daily Observe, Coach, reinforce (OCR) audits and lead structured follow-up action planning to enhance operational efficiency., • Own and optimize carrier strategy — including selection, negotiation, classification, and scorecards — to ensure high service levels at optimal cost., • Drive synchronization of inbound and outbound logistics to improve visibility, reduce lag time, and eliminate redundant or wasteful processes., • Develop and implement a scalable freight cost methodology that ensures transparency and drives expense optimization, including considerations for fuel, accessorials, and surcharges., • Lead freight audit tool integration (e.g., FreightWise), ensuring accurate general ledger cost allocation, proactive spend tracking, and recovery of overcharges., • Conduct ongoing freight spend analysis to identify trends, variances, and actionable cost-saving initiatives., • Maintain and enhance the Routing Guide Matrix, ensuring alignment with customer-specific SLAs, rules, and escalation protocols., • Partner with IT and operations teams to implement and optimize EDI integrations (753/754/850/860) to reduce manual touchpoints and improve data accuracy., • Ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements, including the WAIRE Program; conduct weekly audits and lead KPI reporting to support annual filings., • Launch a container visibility dashboard and reporting workflow., • Finalize and present a proposed freight cost recovery model., • Implement a carrier classification framework and updated routing guide., • Conduct a baseline freight spend analysis with cost-saving recommendations., • Activate and sustain a structured OCR audit process across logistics teams. Required Skills & Experience • 10+ years in logistics, transportation, or supply chain leadership roles., • Proven experience in carrier management, freight optimization, and logistics analytics., • Proficiency in TMS, WMS, and data tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau)., • Strong knowledge of multi-modal transportation, international logistics, and customs compliance., • Experienced in managing retailer compliance, including chargebacks and scorecards (e.g., Kohl’s, Ross)., • Bilingual (Spanish/English) strongly preferred., • Background in fast fashion, retail, or e-commerce logistics.
