Job Description Job Title: Manufacturing Technician Job Description The Manufacturing Technician operates production equipment to accurately measure, blend, and process raw ingredients into finished flavor products while following strict safety, quality, and regulatory standards. This role uses both mechanical and computerized tools to compound, fill containers, and document production activities in a fast-paced flavor manufacturing environment. The position follows a 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. schedule. Might be asked if you are flexible to work 2nd shift. Responsibilities • Operate production and compounding equipment to accurately utilize raw ingredient materials and create flavor products according to specified formulas and shop orders., • Use tools, electronic systems, computers, and scan guns to correctly match ingredients to shop orders and ensure accurate batching and documentation., • Follow all production, safety, quality, and operational procedures throughout the manufacturing process, including proper setup, operation, and shutdown of equipment., • Verify and record production data, including ingredient usage, batch information, and quality checks, in accordance with established procedures., • Ensure proper ventilation and consistently use required safety equipment and personal protective equipment during all production activities., • Support Quality Control requirements by learning and following procedures for sampling, product testing, and swabbing of equipment as needed., • Handle materials safely and efficiently, including lifting, moving, and staging raw materials and finished products., • Maintain a clean and organized work area, following sanitizing and cleaning procedures for equipment and production spaces., • Follow formulas, work instructions, and written procedures to properly identify, weigh, and mix products according to specifications., • Communicate effectively with team members and take initiative to work independently when needed in a small-team environment., • Perform other production, compounding, blending, and related duties as assigned by leadership to support overall manufacturing needs. Essential Skills • 1–2 years of manufacturing or production experience, ideally in a pharmaceutical, food, or nutraceutical environment involving lifting, blending, and machine operation., • Experience operating production or compounding machinery in a manufacturing setting., • Strong emphasis on and adherence to safety practices in a production environment., • Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math, including ratios, weighing of product, and other measurements., • Knowledge of FDA and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulations as they apply to manufacturing., • Ability to follow written and verbal procedures and directions to correctly identify products and follow formulas., • Ability to read, write, and understand English to follow documentation, safety procedures, and work instructions., • Ability to regularly lift 50–75+ pounds as part of daily material handling and production tasks., • Demonstrated motivation, positive attitude, and strong willingness and ability to learn new processes and equipment. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience in production, compounding, sanitizing, blending, mixing, and material handling in a regulated environment., • Familiarity with spray equipment used in manufacturing or flavor production., • Experience working under GMP and FDA guidelines in food, beverage, pharmaceutical, or nutraceutical production., • Comfort using computers, scan guns, and electronic systems for tracking ingredients and production orders., • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage tasks in a small-team setting., • Bilingual skills in Spanish are a plus. Work Environment This role is based in a flavor and fragrance manufacturing facility producing primarily sweet flavors such as strawberry, root beer, and peanut butter. The team is small, with around 15 people on site, so you will often work independently and are expected to take initiative and manage your tasks responsibly. The environment involves active production work, including machine operation, material handling, and regular lifting of 50–75+ pounds, as well as adherence to GMP and FDA-regulated processes. Proper ventilation and safety equipment are in place, and consistent use of safety gear and compliance with sanitizing and cleaning procedures are required. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rancho Cucamonga, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
