Job DescriptionThis individual will be responsible for operating production equipment to manufacture chemical batches in compliance with company standard operating procedures (SOPs). Job Responsibilities • Follow detailed written procedures to carry out batch operations for processing, purifying, and chemically fabricating products and compounds., • Operate a variety of manufacturing equipment including reactors, tanks, pumps, mixers, pH meters, level and flow meters, valves, and hoses., • Handle both liquid and solid chemicals using appropriate tools such as pumps, scales, and flow meters. Accurately weigh, measure, and verify raw materials and finished products to ensure correct formulation and inventory control., • Perform packaging, labeling, and boxing of products in compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs)., • Retrieve materials from warehouse locations and transport them to production areas using a forklift when necessary., • Collect process samples and collaborate with laboratory staff for analytical testing., • Maintain accurate documentation including batch records, packaging logs, equipment inspection sheets, and calibration records., • Participate in required Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) training such as Hazardous Waste Management, Emergency Response, and Hazard Communication, demonstrating a solid understanding of each topic., • Properly package, label, and mark hazardous waste containers., • Operate equipment and follow procedures in alignment with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OSHA 18001 standards., • Uphold housekeeping and 5S organizational standards within the work area., • Communicate effectively with shift leaders regarding safety, production, and quality concerns. Actively contribute to shift meetings and continuous improvement initiatives., • Comply with all corporate, site-specific, and safety policies and procedures., • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times., • Complete all required training, including corporate, HSE, and quality-related modules., • Assist in training fellow chemical operators on processes, equipment, and procedures to promote safety, efficiency, and compliance. · High School Diploma or GED equivalent with at least 5 years of applicable experience; chemical manufacturing OR Entry level life science graduate · Experience with manufacturing specialty chemicals using batch processes. · Experience working in a clean-room environment will be a plus. · Forklift certification and Hazardous Waste Operations certification preferable. · Strong verbal and written communication skills Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
