We are currently seeking a passionate individual for the position of Part Time Adult Home Care Aide. In this crucial role, you will be based at the Pleasant Gardens Adult Home, a 26-bed facility which provides 24-hour supervision, personal care, meals, housekeeping, laundry service, transportation, daily recreational activities, and medication management. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES • Make residents' beds and ensure linens are changed weekly or as needed., • Prepare, cook, and serve meals and snacks according to dietary needs., • Perform laundry tasks for residents' linens and personal clothing., • Maintain cleanliness and organization through regular housekeeping and adhering to the cleaning schedule., • Monitor and restock personal hygiene supplies for residents., • Administer/supervise medication administration and assist residents with daily routines., • Document incidents and complete the daily census accurately., • High School Diploma or Equivalency, • Experience working with elderly preferred, • Valid NYS Driver's License in good standing, • Physical Requirements: Sits, stands, stoops, squats, walks, and moves intermittently during work hours, may push or pull 10-15 pounds daily, may push or pull up to 50 pounds occasionally, drive agency vehicle, • Training in First Aid and CPR required, • Reports to: Adult Home Administrator SHIFT 2: Saturdays 3pm-11pm, Sundays 7am-3pm SHIFT 3: Friday 11pm-7am, Saturday 11pm-7am SHIFT 4: Sundays 3pm-11pm, Tuesdays 11pm-7am, Wednesday 11pm-7am Per Diem also available PAY RATE: $18.50 hourly LOCATION: Bayport, NY Learn more at mercyhaven.org!
