Job Description & Requirements\n \n • Specialty: Dietary Aide\n, • Discipline: Allied Health Professional\n, • Duration: Ongoing\n, • 37.5 hours per week\n, • Shift: 8 hours, days\n, • Employment Type: Staff\n \n \n DIRECT HIRE \n Registered Dietitian – Oncology \n Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM Hours: 37.5 hours/week Salary: $63,386.31–$95,090.19 annually ($32.51–$48.76/hour) Location: White Plains Hospital EMR: EPIC Position Requirements\n Education & Credentials \n \n • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nutrition/Dietetics\n, • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)\n, • Current New York State Dietitian/Nutritionist license\n, • Certified Specialist in Oncology (CSO) preferred; must obtain within 1 year if not currently certified\n \n Experience & Skills \n \n • 3+ years of clinical nutrition experience preferred\n, • Oncology clinical nutrition experience preferred\n, • Proficiency with electronic health records\n, • Strong patient education and public-speaking skills\n, • Ability to participate in department programs and complete WPHC orientation requirements\n Responsibilities\n \n, • Assess the nutritional status and needs of oncology patients.\n, • Develop individualized nutrition care plans based on patient needs, treatment, and clinical condition.\n, • Provide ongoing nutrition education, counseling, and support to patients and families.\n, • Educate and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers regarding nutritional care.\n, • Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary care team.\n, • Prioritize clinical issues and implement appropriate nutrition interventions.\n, • Maintain compliance with patient rights, infection control, and hospital standards.\n, • Participate in performance improvement initiatives and support cost-containment efforts.\n, • Incorporate current research, evidence-based practices, and clinical guidelines into patient care.\n, • Perform other duties as assigned.\n \n \n Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nutrition or Dietetics from an accredited college. Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR). At least three years’ experience in Clinical Nutrition with a focus on oncology preferred. Specialist in Oncology Nutrition (CSO) or completion of certification within one year of hire.
