THE OPPORTUNITY The Center for Justice Innovation seeks a Housing Court Navigator for the Eviction Diversion Initiative (EDI) in Kings County. The mission of EDI is to ensure access to the holistic resources needed for tenants and their families to prevent eviction and maintain safe, stable, and affordable housing. EDI helps litigants get assistance with arrears and ongoing rental assistance, legal assistance, public benefits, mental health services, employment, financial empowerment, and connections to other community-based organizations. EDI also facilitates collaboration with court administration, judges, and clerks to review data, identify resources, and problem-solve issues as they arise. The EDI project is run by the Center for Justice Innovation in Kings and Suffolk Counties in New York State. Reporting to the Project Manager of Eviction Diversion in the Kings County (Brooklyn) Housing Court, the Navigator is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the EDI grant program with Kings County (Brooklyn) Housing Court. The Housing Court Navigator will be responsible for identifying and assisting public housing and housing voucher recipients who are facing eviction as well as other tenants facing eviction or displacement. The selected candidate will be charged with initiating and maintaining relationships and working collaboratively with stakeholders, including attorneys for litigants (including but not limited to attorneys for tenants and attorneys for the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA), the presiding judge and their court attorneys and clerks, Office of Court Administration (OCA) personnel, Adult Protective Services (APS), Human Resources Administration (HRA), other government and social services agencies, and tenant families. The Navigator will also coordinate case-needs, identify social service needs, facilitating referrals, and record progress and outcomes. Responsibilities: • Prepare and forward proforma billing print-outs to billing attorney; make edits to proformas per partner instructions including, but not limited to, time descriptions, transfers, write down/off of unbilled time/costs in conformity with firm policy, • Prepare, draft and final invoice for partner approval; finalize and post invoice(s) in Firm financial software; prepare and ensure successful submission of e-bill(s); monitor and report on status when necessary, • Review, analyze and ensure compliance with client’s Outside Counsel Billing Guidelines, • Proactively communicate and meet with partners to review unbilled (WIP) and billed (A/R) inventory, • Continually monitor WIP, aged A/R, and unapplied or on-account billings/cash to assist billing partners to meet billing and collection goals; document and report on aged WIP and A/R, • Take ownership of the full matter life-cycle, assuring proper matter setup in accordance with client and partner requirements / preferences; necessary e-billing task/activity codes and/or budgets are incorporated in matter details; ensure alternative fee arrangements (AFAs) are setup where applicable; compliance with client’s billing requirements (i.e. time increments, frequency, invoice(s) template);, • Follow up on partially paid invoices to assure the firm collects A/R in full; consistently “clean-up” stale time / uncollectable amounts and obtain necessary authorization for write offs in accordance with firm policy, • Follow up with partners regarding on-account invoices to ensure WIP is relieved in a timely and accurate manner, • Establish strong communications with clients’ financial staff so that the firm’s bills are processed expeditiously; resolve all client issues such as e-billing, cost backup, or other matters, • Respond to client inquiries/questions in a timely manner and escalate issues as needed to Supervisor, Manager, Director or other firm management as needed, • Collaborate with the billing/collection team and other finance personnel and work closely with partners and other legal staff to achieve the firm’s goals, • Coordinate ad hoc projects at the request of clients, partners, and firm management, • Provide coverage during absence of other team members, • Assure conformity with the firm’s accounting, billing and collection policies and controls and ensure integrity of the firm’s financial and operating information, • Prepare various reports and analyses, as requested, • Heavy editing of Litigation and Financial Restructuring timecards, • A Bachelor‘s degree is recommended; preferably in Accounting or Business, • 2+ years’ experience in a large law firm billing department or comparable industry, • 3E, Elite Enterprise, or Aderant experience preferred;, • Proficiency in MS Office, Word, Excel, and Power Point, • Strong written and verbal communication skills, • Experience with Ebilling Hub and E-Billing vendor sites preferred, • Ability to function as a self-starter, work with a large team, and meet strict deadlines; detail oriented

SCOPE ETRO is looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager to lead and oversee all AR functions, with a primary focus on Wholesale while also managing Retail receivables. This role will be responsible for timely and accurate sales reconciliation, processing incoming payments, handling chargebacks, managing customer accounts, and building strong client relationships. A key objective will be to optimize cash flow through effective management of outstanding invoices and close monitoring of customer accounts. The ideal candidate should bring strong leadership skills, excellent analytical abilities, and a proven record of improving AR processes in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. RESPONSIBILITIES Accounts Receivable/Credit Management • Perform weekly and monthly sales reconciliations for both Wholesale and Retail departments, • Reconcile department store trial balances on a weekly basis, • Send invoices and statements to specialty stores and non-EDI clients weekly, • Manage the reconciliation of EDI invoicing with the logistic team, • Verify new clients' credit status using Experian credit reports, • Address and resolve discrepancies, disputes, and customer inquiries, • Prepare and maintain weekly cash flow reports, ensuring accuracy in projected and actual collections, • Monitor daily cash balances, providing insights on cash flow trends to assist in financial decision-making, • Daily bank upload of all bank accounts to our accounting system and daily cash position to upper management, • Daily retail sales report to stores and upper management, • Forecast on a monthly and weekly basis of account receivable, • Track overdue invoices and ensure timely collections to prevent cash flow disruptions, • Ensure timely and accurate billing to customers to maintain a consistent flow of receivables, • Monitor, document, and dispute all chargeback activities related to PO violations promptly, collaborating with clients to resolve issues proactively, • Review and record customer allowances in coordination with the Wholesale department, • Conduct monthly wholesale accruals, ensuring accurate accounting of all outstanding balances, allowances, and receivables in financial statements, • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and financial regulations, managing the AR function effectively, • Support audits related to accounts receivable and provide relevant documentation and analysis during financial audits, • Develop and enforce standardized operating procedures (SOPs) for AR processes across the organization to ensure consistency and reduce variability in cash flow management, • Identify opportunities to streamline AR processes, improve efficiency, and reduce errors through automation or best practices, • Bachelor's degree in related field and/or equivalent experience, • Proficiency in SAP is required, • Highly skilled in Excel, • Solid understanding of general accounting principles, credit risk management, and collection strategies, • Experience working collaboratively with department stores, • Capable of working independently as well as in a team setting, • Strong interpersonal skills are essential, • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to resolving outstanding issues, • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present effectively at all levels of the organization This job description may not be inclusive of all assigned duties, responsibilities, or aspects of the job described, and may be amended at any time at the sole discretion of the Employer.
