LAZ Transportation is seeking a Paratransit General Manager in the Atlanta or Douglasville area who will provide support, leadership, and direction to an assigned operating location to ensure delivery of annual business plans. He/she will control the daily operation of our transportation contract, in compliance with the policies of the contracting agency and in conformance with company procedures. The Spirit of the Position: The Paratransit General Manager supports the Regional Vice President with a complete oversight for financials and operations of assigned portfolios to ensure 24/7 professional parking management. As a company devoted to promoting an employee-focused servant leadership culture, the General Manager will support the programs and initiatives originating from our home office and help to support the individual needs of their operational teams throughout their assigned portfolios. Principal Job Duties: • Effectively manage customer relations through both direct contact and outreach programs., • Identify, select, train, and mentor location staff., • Effectively and frequently communicate with location staff and support team members., • Oversee vehicle maintenance plan and ensure fleet availability to meet service requirements., • Oversee safety and training programs, plans, and processes to ensure compliance with company, contract, and regulatory requirements., • Maintain client contact routinely to meet or exceed expectations., • Conduct periodic departmental audits., • Daily, weekly, and monthly review of key operational metrics., • Ensure that all location financial metrics are managed continuously, exceptions are reported, and action plans are developed to ensure the location meets its financial, safety, and operational expectations., • Implement, promote, and adhere to company policies and procedures., • Interact with bridges committee to effectuate positive changes to policies, procedures, and programs., • Participate in location(s) labor and employee relations activities., • Provide insight and information to support location(s) contract renewals., • Create and present location(s) annual budget., • Additional related duties as assigned. Education: • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience. Experience: • College degree or equivalent business management experience., • Management experience required., • Must have a minimum of (5) five years of comprehensive experience in operations management in a paratransit environment with 20+ vehicles, with knowledge of Trapeze scheduling software., • Must have a full understanding of dispatch, scheduling, driver recruitment, and safety, DOT, and FTA compliance., • MS Office, strong analytical skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, and a high degree of multi-tasking skills., • Additional duties/responsibilities based upon individual contract requirements. Skills: • Parking management experience of multiple locations is required., • Ability to seek improvement and create an environment of idea sharing and creative problem solving., • Strong customer service skills and abilities., • Ability to be approachable and facilitate coaching conversations with employees and managers., • Ability to mitigate and lead others to overcome challenges (Never Ever Give Up Attitude)., • Ability to encourage open expression of ideas and opinions., • Excellent team-building and interpersonal skills., • Ability to work independently and multi-task., • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of the organization., • Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and standard business practices., • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and timeliness. Physical Demands: • Willingness to work in the elements – heat, wind, snow, rain, etc., • Ability to lift, push and pull at least 25 pounds., • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time., • Ability bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.
