Job ID 2026-3220 Job Locations US-MA-Newton The Senior Financial Analyst at the RMR Group will be a member of the dynamic and fast-paced Senior Living Asset Management team, responsible for analyzing and optimizing a nationwide portfolio of senior living assets. This position will play a critical role in supporting the Asset Management team by providing comprehensive financial, operational, and market analysis. This role will be responsible for in-depth real estate analysis, supporting strategic decision-making through robust financial modeling, market research, and performance benchmarking. The Senior Analyst will collaborate closely with asset managers, operators, and internal stakeholders to drive initiatives to asset values and optimize the portfolio. Build and maintain detailed financial models to evaluate acquisition, disposition, and operator transition opportunities, while supporting origination, development, and repositioning efforts through underwriting, sensitivity analyses, and scenario modeling. • Conduct valuation analyses using DCF models and capitalizationrate-driven valuation techniques, • Prepare high-quality presentations, reports, and materials for senior leadership, investors, and internal stakeholders, summarizing financial performance, market intelligence, and investment recommendations highlighting key trends, risks, and valuecreation opportunities., • Analyze portfolio performance by reviewing tenant/operator financial statements, statistical reporting, and key performance indicators, and conduct variance analysis on budgets, forecasts, and actual results to identify trends, performance drivers, risks, and operational improvement opportunities across senior living assets., • Ensure accurate and timely preparation and delivery of standard weekly, monthly, and quarterly market and operations reporting., • Track and report on longterm portfolio and community-specific projects., • Perform market research and competitive benchmarking to evaluate senior living community performance and inform operational and investment strategies., • Collaborate with the Business Intelligence team to enhance reporting, analytics, and data-driven decision-making., • Monitor compliance with lease agreements, management contracts, and operator obligations across senior housing assets., • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams-including asset management, development, finance, and leadership-to support strategic initiatives and optimize portfolio performance., • Participate in meetings and follow-up between Asset Management and operators as needed., • Assist with special projects and ad hoc analysis to support asset management and investment objectives., • Bachelor's degree required, minimum 3.0 GPA, with preferred course of study in real estate, finance, business, or a related field, • 3+ years of relevant experience in asset management, investment analysis, or operations within real estate, with a preference for relevant knowledge in the senior living industry, • Familiarity with industry benchmarks such as NOI margin ranges, occupancy norms, staffing ratios, and cost drivers is a plus, • Strong analytical skills with the ability to review, analyze, and report on varied quantitative and qualitative hotel metrics., • Strong financial modeling skills, including proficiency in Excel and experience building acquisition and operating models, • Experience with property-level financial statements and complex pro forma models, • Demonstrated ability to analyze and report on varied quantitative and qualitative metrics, • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, • Independent, creative, resourceful, and shows strong initiative, • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, well-organized, and results-driven, • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-centered environment, • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with PowerBI, advanced analytics tools and AI a plus, • Experience with legal documents (JVAs, Loan Agreements, PSAs, etc.) is a plus, • Travel may be required The RMR Group offers an extensive total rewards package to ensure that your benefits align with your needs.
