Our newly envisioned wine and beer deck, nestled in a vibrant pocket park, serves as both a sophisticated tasting venue for our community and a dynamic event space for the region. We are seeking a passionate and driven leader to cultivate this unique space into a landmark of hospitality in Rancho Cucamonga. Position Summary: The Wine Deck & Events Manager reports to the Senior Director Winery Operations and is a dynamic and multifaceted leadership role central to the success of our guest-facing operations. This individual is not just a bar manager; they are a brand ambassador, an event architect, and a key relationship builder. You will be responsible for the flawless daily operation of our wine and beer deck while also serving as the primary liaison for conceiving, planning, and executing private and public events within our park. The ideal candidate is a charismatic leader with a strong background in upscale hospitality, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive mindset for developing new business opportunities, particularly with our neighboring hotels and local corporate partners. Key Responsibilities: 1. Wine Deck & Hospitality Management: • Oversee all daily operations of the wine and beer deck, ensuring an exceptional, high-touch experience for every guest., • Recruit, train, mentor, and schedule a team of hospitality professionals, fostering a positive, knowledgeable, and service-oriented culture., • Manage inventory for wine, beer, and operational supplies, conducting regular counts and optimizing stock levels to maximize sales and minimize waste., • Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, ambiance, and safety, ensuring the deck and park are always "event-ready.", • Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, manage cash handling procedures, and provide accurate daily and weekly sales reports., • Other duties as assigned. 2. Event Coordination & Business Development: • Serve as the primary point of contact for all event inquiries, from initial contact to post-event follow-up., • Act as a strategic liaison with local partners, including hotel concierges and event planners, to proactively market and book our event space., • Collaborate with clients to design and customize event packages, including beverage selections, layout, and coordination with outside vendors (caterers, musicians, etc.)., • Manage the event calendar, create proposals and contracts, and oversee all logistical elements from setup to breakdown., • Lead the on-site execution of events, ensuring seamless delivery and exceeding client expectations., • Other duties as assigned. 3. Leadership & Administration: • Develop and implement standard operating procedures to enhance efficiency and elevate service standards., • Ensure absolute compliance with all California Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) regulations, health codes, and company policies., • Assist in managing the operational budget, controlling labor and beverage costs, and identifying opportunities for revenue growth., • Embody the d'Ellena brand values and act as a positive leader within the company and the community., • Other duties as assigned.Qualifications & Skills:, • Minimum of 3-5 years of management experience in hospitality, preferably in a winery, upscale bar, or full-service restaurant environment., • Proven experience in event planning and coordination is strongly required., • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire a team and build lasting client relationships., • Strong organizational and time-management abilities with a high level of attention to detail., • Adept at problem-solving and grace under pressure in a fast-paced environment., • Proficient with POS systems, inventory management software, and Microsoft Office Suite., • A passion for and knowledge of wine is highly desirable., • Must be at least 21 years of age., • Must hold (or be able to obtain) a valid RBS (Responsible Beverage Service) Certification and a Food Handler's Certificate., • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as dictated by business and event needs.Compensation & Benefits:, • This is a full-time, salaried exempt position., • $69,000 - $71,000 competitive salary commensurate with experience., • Performance-based bonus potential., • Paid Time Off (PTO)., • Health and retirement benefits package.
