Job Description Corporate Controller Location: NYC Tri-State Area or Remote Job Type: Full-Time Salary Range: $100,000+ (based on experience) About the Role A rapidly expanding restaurant group in the quick-service sector needs an experienced Corporate Controller to own financial operations across multiple locations. Currently operating across 15+ states with campus licensing locations and continuing to expand, you'll be the financial leader building systems and processes from the ground up. This is a true ownership role - you'll report directly to the CEO and be responsible for all accounting, financial planning, and strategic analysis as the company scales. Key Responsibilities • Own all accounting operations including journal entries, accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations, • Lead month-end close processes, financial reporting, and variance analysis, • Develop financial projections, budgets, and performance analyses that drive leadership decisions, • Manage financial reporting requirements with licensing partners across multiple states, • Work with external accounting firms while building internal capabilities, • Design and implement scalable systems and procedures for multi-state expansion, • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, payroll requirements, and accounting standards across jurisdictions, • Serve as strategic finance partner to CEO on growth initiatives and expansion planning Required Qualifications • 7-10+ years of accounting experience with progressive responsibility, • Restaurant or multi-unit operations accounting experience required, • Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks (required) and Excel, • Experience with Restaurant 365 or similar restaurant management systems preferred, • Demonstrated experience in financial forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning & analysis, • Multi-location or franchise/licensing accounting experience, • Proven ability to build financial systems and processes in growth-stage companies, • Strong independent judgment and decision-making capability, • Excellent communication skills to partner directly with executive leadership What Success Looks Like • Complete ownership of month-end close with accurate, timely financial statements, • Financial projections and analysis that inform strategic decisions, • Scalable processes implemented to support 20+ state expansion, • Strong working relationships with licensing partners and external accounting teams, • Multi-state compliance maintained without executive oversight, • Clear path toward CFO responsibilities as company continues to scale Ideal Candidate Profile You've been a controller or senior finance manager at a multi-unit restaurant company and you're ready for more ownership.
