Job Description Job Captain Full-Time Irvine, Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 Annually Location: Irvine, Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco Type: Full-Time Department: Architecture Role Overview We are seeking a Job Captain to prepare complete and accurate architectural documents, coordinate engineering contract documents and project manuals, and collaborate with the Production Team across all project phases. You will work under the direction of Principals and Project Managers while directing team members and interfacing with clients. Key Responsibilities Documentation & Technical • Prepare, review, and check all construction documents for accuracy, • Coordinate documents with internal team members and external consultants, • Apply working knowledge of lighting, HVAC, structural, plumbing, fire protection, and electrical design, • Direct Production Team, assign tasks, and allocate resources, • Facilitate communication among staff regarding project status, objectives, and performance, • Interface with clients as directed and manage relationships to ensure satisfaction, • Coordinate submission of documents to building departments, • Support construction administration (RFIs, shop drawings, submittals), • Lead field survey teams for as-built documentation Required • Degree in Architecture from an accredited institution, • 5+ years of experience in a professional architecture office, • Multi-family residential and mixed-use experience required, • Advanced skills in Revit, CAD, and Microsoft Office, • Working knowledge of CBC, ADA, and relevant building codes, • Licensed Architect in California, • Broad experience across various project types and phases, • Leadership opportunities directing production teams, • Direct client interaction and relationship management MVE + Partners is an Equal Opportunity Employer and employment selection decisions are based on merit, qualifications, and abilities.
