The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees while promoting a safe and efficient work environment focused on patient and employee safety. \n\nResponsibilities\n\n • Conduct nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission, creating individualized plans of care.\n, • Identify patient and family education needs and set relevant goals.\n, • Provide timely patient information and status updates for team conferences.\n, • Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely in the medical record.\n, • Participate in the patient rehabilitation program and utilize the nursing process effectively.\n, • Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching starting at admission.\n, • Communicate changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care.\n, • Provide direction and supervision to nursing staff and ancillary personnel.\n, • Ensure safety of both patients and the work environment by adhering to policies and procedures.\n, • Engage in team building activities to foster a positive work environment.\n, • Maintain effective communication with management regarding service needs and clinical training.\n, • Assume charge responsibility as requested after an orientation period.\n, • Commit to ongoing professional development through education and self-study.\n\n\nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure\n\n, • BLS Certification required prior to first shift.\n, • ACLS Certification required prior to first shift (CIRH ONLY).\n, • Minimum two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is required.\n, • Experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is required.\n, • Previous experience with Select Medical is highly desired.\n\n\nSchedule\n This position is scheduled for night shifts, working 3x12-hour shifts per week. \n\nAssignment Duration\n This is a 13-week contract position. \n\nWhy ARMStaffing?\n At ARMStaffing, we take care of our employees!
