Job DescriptionSlate is hiring a software engineer to help us build the next iteration of Slate.com. The ideal candidate will have experience with full stack web development as well as in content publishing and scaling. As a software engineer, you’ll be part of a small dev team of talented software engineers (think between five and 10) as well as a larger team of product managers and designers. You will be on the ground floor in choosing and implementing technologies that power Slate.com and other Slate-related products and services. This position is located in D.C. (preferred) or New York. This position is for an individual contributor and does not require managing other developers. Desired Qualities of a Software EngineerFor this position to be a good fit, you MUST • Have several years of experience building websites. Apps are good, but websites are important. You should also know the difference!, • Have significant experience in JavaScript and/or Python. You’re able to explain and talk through the changes coming along in ECMAScript but don’t mind writing jQuery when you need to fix something. This role sits at the core of our CX organization. You'll partner closely with the Director of CX to execute strategy and manage and develop our Customer Support team. You'll be accountable for day-to-day performance across all support tiers, while also leading meaningful initiatives that improve quality, scalability, and efficiency. We're looking for an experienced Customer Experience (CX) Operations Manager to help optimize, maintain, and evolve our CX systems — with a strong initial focus on our existing Zendesk implementation. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who owns outcomes end-to-end. About this role As an Agent Engineer II at Amigo, you'll independently design and implement production AI agents for healthcare customers. You'll architect context graphs that model complex clinical workflows, design agent personalities that maintain clinical safety, and build evaluation frameworks that catch problems before patients encounter them. This role requires you to make design tradeoffs -- balancing conversation quality, clinical safety, and system reliability -- with minimal oversight.
