Job DescriptionProject Manager - Commercial Construction Project Manager - Construction Position Overview We are an established commercial general contractor specializing in commercial, retail, and hospitality construction projects in Orange County, and we are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. The successful candidate will manage schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and client relationships to deliver high-quality retail, commercial, hospitality, and ground-up construction projects on time and within budget. This role requires strong construction and project management expertise, excellent communication, and a focus on safety and quality. Key Responsibilities • Plan, organize, and manage all phases of construction projects, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to scope and budget, • Develop and maintain project schedules, critical path analysis, and resource allocation plans, • Prepare and manage project budgets, cost forecasts, change orders, and financial reporting, • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and on-site teams to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with specifications, • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, enforce safety standards, and resolve construction issues promptly, • Lead project meetings with clients, design teams, and stakeholders; provide clear status updates and manage expectations, • Review and manage contracts, permits, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation, • Implement quality control procedures and ensure compliance with building codes, company standards, and client requirements, • Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans to minimize schedule and cost impacts, • Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience, • 5+ years of progressive experience in construction project management with demonstrated success managing medium to large projects, • Proven skills in Construction Management and Project Management, including scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor management, and contract administration, • Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, building codes, and safety regulations (OSHA), • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts, • Proficient with project management and scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore, or similar) and Microsoft Office, • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documents, • Flexible and adaptable problem-solver with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, • Nice to have: direct experience in Retail, Commercial, Hospitality, and Ground-up Construction projects, • Valid drivers license; construction industry certifications (PMP, CCM, OSHA 30) are a plus - For this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
