Job Description Reports To: Senior Director of Children’s Clinical Services Program: Children & Family Treatment & Support Services Location: Tarrytown, NY Hours Per Week: 35 p FLSA Status: Full Time, Non-exempt Salary Range: $20.00 -$24.00 per hour After six months of employment, you may be eligible to receive a retention bonus of $3,000. Summary Description: Our Children and Family Treatment and Support Services (CFTSS) are designed to better meet the behavioral health needs at earlier junctures in a child/youth’s life to prevent the onset or progression of behavioral health conditions. These mobile services are provided in the home and community and aim to prevent the need for more restrictive and higher intensity services for children and youth. Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) services are designed to restore, rehabilitate, and support a child’s/youth’s developmentally appropriate functioning as necessary for the integration of the child/youth as an active and productive member of their family and community with the goal of achieving minimal on-going professional intervention. Activities are “hands on” and task oriented, intended to achieve the identified goals or objectives as set forth in the child/youth’s individualized treatment plan. These services must include assisting the child/youth to develop and apply skills in natural settings. PSR is intended to foster and promote the development of needed skills identified in assessment or through the ongoing treatment of a licensed practitioner. Services are delivered in a trauma informed, culturally and linguistically competent manner. Key Responsibilities: • Engage the child and their family in a variety of strategies (including counseling and functional supports) to work toward identified goals., • Engage in regular communication with the child’s team, to ensure continuity of care., • Document client progress and maintain a permanent record of client activity according to established methods and procedures., • Practice with a person-centered, trauma informed philosophy in alignment with the values of Greater Mental Health of NY., • Due to the nature of the program, must be able to work a flexible schedule., • Other designated or related duties. Key Competencies: • Knowledge of the signs of psychiatric crises and engagement skills/de-escalation techniques., • Highly organized and self-motivated., • Familiarity with and ability to use an Electronic Health Record system. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): • Timely and accurate documentation in accordance with GMH documentation policy., • Ensure that all productivity expectations are met., • Meet all professional development & training expectations. Requirements: • The candidate must be 21 years old and have a high school diploma, high school equivalency, or a State Education Commencement Credential with a minimum of two years’ experience in children’s mental health, addiction, foster care and/or a related human services field; OR a Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or in related human services; OR a Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or in related human services., • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and database management systems., • Strong computer knowledge: typing, communication tools, scheduling tools and web browsers., • Fluency in English (Reading, Writing, Speaking)., • Must be cleared and maintain clearance by applicable regulatory clearances as required., • Legally eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship., • Must be reliable and able to work independently and understand the importance of maintaining confidentiality., • The PSR Worker must have a valid Driver’s License and a driving record that is satisfactory to our insurance carrier. The PSR worker will be using agency vehicles and is responsible for adhering to the Agency Driver Policy., • The PSR must maintain a current New York State Defensive Driving certification. Job Description Position Overview: The Westchester Therapeutic Foster Boarding Home (TFBH) Social Worker II will be an integral part of the Westchester Therapeutic Foster Boarding Home program. The Westchester Therapeutic Foster Boarding Home Social Worker II will be providing comprehensive case management services to youth and families involved with the Westchester County Department of Social Services. The Westchester TFBH Social Worker II will work with assigned youth and foster/kinship families to assess as well as formulate service plans to help youth achieve their permanency goals. The Westchester TFBH Social Worker II will also support and monitor foster/kinship placements to assure the safety and needs of the youth are being met. The Westchester TFBH Social Worker II will assist in the development and growth of the Westchester TFBH program. Position Qualifications: Master’s in Social Work required. Minimum 3 years of experience in child welfare, casework and foster care, or mental health; 4+ years of experience preferred. Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) preferred. Skills and Qualifications: * Masters in Social Work; Certification in Social Work * 2-3 years of experience in a school setting preferred * Experience and demonstrated ability in working with children in a teaching, counseling or other applicable capacity (examples include, but are not limited to involvement with community youth organizations, supervisory roles in national youth organizations, and mentorship programs); * Demonstrated successful teaching experience; * Exhibited leadership in working with professional staff, students, and the community; * Agreement with the academic goals and philosophy of the charter school; * Commitment to accountability and student discipline; * Demonstrated success in encouraging parental involvement. * Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication. Compensation: This is a full-year, full-time, exempt position with a competitive salary range of $79,200 to $94,656, commensurate with experience.
