American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Atlanta, Georgia. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 05/04/2026, • Duration: 8 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, nights, • Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview • Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs, • Hours: 36 hrs/wk, • Start Date: May 4, 2026, • Length: 8 weeks, • Float pool position covering all critical care floors, the ED, ED hold areas, MTC/Step-Down, and PACU as needed, • High-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center environment with complex, high-volume trauma cases, • Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week, • No on-call requirements, • Block scheduling is generally not approved — flexible scheduling is expected, • 4 weekend shifts per month required, • Epic EMR in useRequirements, • Active GA or compact RN license required, • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required, • Minimum 2 years of ICU experience in a similarly sized, high-volume facility, • Proven experience in high-pressure, large-scale trauma environments with diverse and severe cases, • Experience managing critical, fast-paced clinical situations required — candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be consideredAdditional Information, • Provide critical care nursing across multiple units as part of a float pool, including ICU floors, ED, ED holds, MTC/Step-Down, and PACU, • When assigned to the ED, patient assignments will be limited in scope, • Local candidates are accepted for this position With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
