Chef Instructor Synopsis Under the direction of the Executive Director and Program Manager, the Chef Instructor is responsible for administering the NYC Food Handler's Certificate training program and overseeing the 24-week culinary training program at The Brownsville Community Culinary Center (BCCC). The Chef Instructor will lead culinary arts instruction, teach job readiness skills, and coordinate related activities and events to enhance the program. The Chef Instructor will monitor and report on participant progress throughout the first module, ensuring participants gain essential foundational skills. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of training, teaching, and professionally developing aspiring culinary professionals. Strong communication skills are imperative, as well as a personal commitment to nutrition, sustainability, and culinary traditions within the African diaspora. This is a full-time position.
