The Opportunity: CNC Machine Programmer Reports To: Machining Manager Your Role: As a CNC Machine Programmer, you will be responsible for developing, modifying, and evaluating computer programs for a variety of equipment. As part of a cross-functional maintenance group supporting a global eye health leader, you’ll keep sophisticated lines running, partner closely with Operations Technicians and Engineers, and help ensure every shift meets its output goals. A day in the life You start by reviewing the previous shift’s notes and planning preventive maintenance to prevent recurring faults. When an alarm hits, you dive into mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems—reading prints, tracing I/O, checking PLC/HMI behavior, and documenting findings. Between events, you collaborate on line improvements, assist with offline rebuilds, and communicate status clearly to the next team and your Plant Maintenance Supervisor.
