Performance Monitoring and Reporting: • Implement mechanisms to monitor quality performance, identify trends, and report deviations or risks to relevant stakeholders., • Analyze quality metrics to drive data-informed decisions and corrective actions., • Drive local governance and auditing activities to ensure compliance and identify areas for enhancement. Continuous Improvement and Problem Solving: • Lead local quality projects aimed at improving product and service delivery., • Support root cause analysis of quality issues and lead the implementation of preventive and corrective actions., • Identify and facilitate opportunities for continuous improvement within local operational processes. Cross-Functional Collaboration and Support: • Collaborate across departments to ensure seamless integration of quality practices within daily operations., • Act as a liaison between the unit and regional/global quality teams to support alignment and consistency., • Lead the investigation of customer complaints and trends, delivering timely and precise reports to commercial and customer service teams. Quality Culture and Capability Building: • Promote and instill a culture of quality awareness across all levels of the unit., • Develop and deliver quality training to operations teams to support understanding and execution of standards., • Lead local quality awareness campaigns and initiatives to engage staff and reinforce best practices. Education • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent field experience; advanced degree in related field desirable. Master’s degree preferred. Work Experience • Must have a minimum of 2 years of professional experience in quality management, with demonstrated career growth., • Experience in implementing and maintaining quality systems, standards, and audits, • Preference for experience in airline catering and/or multi-site manufacturing environment., • A proven track record of successful results. Technical Skills • Strong computer literacy and good knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint., • Proficiency in quality assurance tools and methodologies., • Excellent interpersonal, influencing, verbal and written communication skills required., • Exemplary English writing skills, with reading and writing proficiency in multiple languages., • Proven teamwork experience in a fast-paced environment., • Passionate and self-motivated., • Detail orientated, flexible and responsive., • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines. POSITION SUMMARY The Joe & The Juice Team is looking for a highly motivated, skilled tax professional to join our in-house tax team. Based in New York City, this role will report into the Senior Manager, Tax, in Copenhagen. The Manager of Tax will be a key member of the tax team, responsible for the day-to-day operations, including the accuracy and timeliness of compliance and tax reporting matters. This position will support direct and indirect tax compliance and tax accounting matters for Joe & The Juice's US and global operations. The role will partner with Accounting and Finance stakeholders to support them with all tax related matters. The role interfaces with partners across the organization, including the Accounting, Treasury, HR, Finance, Real estate & Growth and Legal teams to optimize existing processes, solve business challenges, design new workflows, and implement new technology solutions to drive efficient and accurate reporting. You will be responsible for strengthening relationships with third party advisors. You will be a critical member in the development of an adaptive Tax department that continues to scale to support Joe & The Juice's growth goals. Primary responsibilities include: • Manage U.S. federal, state and local, and foreign income tax return filings with third party service providers;, • Manage sales and use tax filings, including future registrations;, • Evaluate sales taxability of Joe & the Juice products based on applicable state and local regulations;, • Manage annual extension process, including remittance of payments;, • Maintain documentation of ASC 740 tax positions;, • Collaborate with Accounting and FP&A departments on tax reporting matters;, • Partner with Accounting to ensure transfer pricing agreements are adhered to and appropriately recorded;, • Develop strong relationships and collaboration with the Real Estate & Growth team and build out process for entering new states for tax compliance;, • Partner with Legal to support the drafting and submission of voluntary disclosure agreements;, • Ensure accurate, timely filing of all business-related filings, including franchise, property and commercial rent tax returns;, • Manage inquiries from government authorities, including notice resolution and audits;, • Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments and communicate the effects of these developments;, • Understand and conduct research on tax issues to support inquires from the business;, • Maintain control environment by adhering to requirements and updating documentation;, • Develop strong relationships with Accounting department to maximize opportunities for automation of data and ensure completeness, accuracy, and efficiency;, • Identify and implement technological and procedural improvements with a strong commitment to detail;, • Provide ad hoc support on various projects; EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION • 4-6 years working in the corporate tax function and/or a public accounting/tax advisory firm, exposure to international tax or multi-jurisdictional compliance preferred.;, • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field;, • CPA required; MBA or JD with tax concentration a plus;, • Excellent project management skills with proactive approach towards driving quality results;, • Significant experience in ASC 740 and tax related financial reporting;, • Exposure to global transfer pricing rules and regulations are preferred;, • Experience with tax provisioning software and Avalara is a plus, • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization and articulate complex information;, • Superior organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments in a fast-paced environment with small team., • Compensation- $130,000- $150,000 Joe & the Juice is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. Through authentic, project-based learning, students will build the technical knowledge and durable skills needed to thrive in high school, college, careers, and an ever-evolving global workforce.
