Job DescriptionBenefits: • Competitive salary, • Opportunity for advancement Responsibilities: • Provide personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting., • Assist clients with mobility and transfers, using appropriate techniques and equipment., • Support clients with their nutritional needs, including meal preparation and feeding assistance if required., • Administer medications under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse or licensed healthcare professional., • Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry, washing dishes, and tidying living areas., • Monitor and report changes in clients' health status or behavior to the supervising nurse or healthcare provider., • Foster a safe and supportive environment for clients, ensuring their comfort and security at all times., • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging in meaningful interactions and activities., • Document all care provided accurately and timely in accordance with agency policies and procedures., • Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team, including nurses, therapists, and social workers, to ensure coordinated care delivery., • Participate in ongoing training and educational opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in home health care practices., • Adhere to ethical and professional standards, maintaining confidentiality and respecting clients' rights and dignity., • High school diploma or equivalent required., • Completion of a state-approved Home Health Aide training program preferred., • Certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA), • Previous experience in home care, long-term care, or related healthcare settings preferred., • CPR and first aid certification preferred., • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals., • Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards the needs of clients and their families., • Ability to follow care plans and instructions accurately and responsibly., • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license, if required to travel to clients' homes., • Ability to lift and move clients safely, as needed, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices., • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds., • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods., • Work primarily takes place in clients' homes, which may vary in terms of cleanliness, accessibility, and environmental conditions.
