Job DescriptionSalary: $90,000-$115,000 GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES The Director of Training plays a critical role in the successful execution of the firms development infrastructure. This individual partners with the Chief Development Officer (CDO) and other leadership team members to ensure smooth execution of Financial Planning Academy and Post-Academy Training for all new financial advisors. This individual regularly reviews and improves all training material, coaching facilitators to meet expectations, and is responsible for the development and needs of the financial representatives during each training class. Additionally, the Director of Training will assist with other Network-wide training and development events, logistics, coordination, and communication. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Partner with network and district office leadership on shared training and production goals and execute the companys training strategy for new financial representatives across the network office., • Will be the face of Financial Planning Academy and represent our organization ensuring our candidates all have the same top tier training experience. Will be the go-to person for communication, questions, concerns, needs., • Facilitate 11 Financial Planning Academies annually and 4 CFRDP (College Financial Representative Development Program) classes a year., • Confirm all guest speakers, logistics, food and beverage, etc. for organization-wide training events, • Will host, coordinate logistics, and lead Graduation for each class., • Update and send daily training reports, recaps, and activity results to leadership throughout Financial Planning Academy and Intern Training, • Schedule all full-time training classes, communicating details with new reps, owning all calendar invites and confirmations for speakers., • Update and send contest tracking reports as needed., • Update training materials and handbooks periodically, • Recommend training improvements and suggestions to leadership, taking the lead on any necessary changes, • Send facilitator emails prior to training detailing session objectives and providing overview of training materials., • Share survey(s) and feedback collected throughout each Financial Planning Academy with appropriate parties, calling out any action items or follow-up needed., • Become well-versed in development structure and systems, able to articulate purpose, full understanding of Granum Activity and the Client Acquisition model., • Provide strategic support to advisors on website creation, locator bios, and LinkedIn account set-up., • Serve as the on the ground training expert for live development/training events., • Execute on onboarding checklists/FPA trackers, creating roadmaps, updating all development and training materials as needed., • Additional development & training ownership as different programs arise in collaboration with other parties., • Will help organize and facilitate Intro Day for our Downtown office new reps in collaboration with our Director of Development., • Will support and provide additional coaching as needed in collaboration with the Director of Development for Downtown., • Strive to streamline processes and practices, moderate and proactively problem-solve training issues as an overall component of office best practices., • Champion continuing education programs and other learning components, communicate to financial representatives, support progress, and celebrate achievements., • Partner with leadership to design and monitor productivity bonus and incentive programs, • Participate in Monthly Director of Training calls with peers and home office., • Share best practices and participate in DOT community for personal development. QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelors Degree in adult education or business administration., • Three- to ten-years of experience developing and facilitating training programs., • Three- to six-years of financial services industry experience., • Effectively leads and facilitates groups of people and the work of others., • Instructional design experience and superior presentation skills., • Works effectively with people at all levels and build strong relationships., • Capable of coaching facilitators and other instructors and effectively provide feedback from an educational framework., • Aptitude for addressing issues in a proactive and creative manner, mediate training-related issues, and lead crucial conversations using a results-focused approach., • Effectively manage time to address multiple priorities at multiple levels., • Strong analytical skills, detail oriented, and ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality., • Superior written and oral communication skills., • Certified Master Trainer designation recommended within first six-to-twelve months., • Coaching Certification strongly recommended within the first one-to-two years.
