Discover rewarding healthcare jobs in Rochester, a city celebrated for its vibrant arts, scenic parks, and supportive community. • Location: Rochester, NY 14642 (New York healthcare jobs), • Unit: Level II RN ICU Stepdown (Neuromusculoskeletal), • Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse Contract, • Start Date: January 5, 2026, • End Date: April 4, 2026, • Contract Duration: 13 weeks, • Hours per Week: 36, • Shift: 3x12 hour rotating shifts (Days/Evenings/Nights), including weekends, holidays, on-call, and charge nurse responsibilities as needed, • Number of Openings: 5, • Estimated Weekly Pay: $2160 - $2210, • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State (NY RN license required), • Minimum 2 years of recent Stepdown or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nursing experience, • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification – American Heart Association, • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification – American Heart Association, • Telemetry nursing experience required, • High-acuity stroke and neurosurgery nursing experience required, • Proficiency with Q1 neuro checks, EVDs, lumbar drains, sub-dural drains, 3%NS and cardene drips, arterial lines, carotid endarterectomy, aneurysm coil/clips, DBS (Deep Brain Stimulator) insertion, VP shunts, and seizure management, • Deliver evidence-based, compassionate care to patients in the ICU Stepdown unit, • Conduct high-acuity neuro and neurosurgical assessments and interventions, • Monitor and manage telemetry and advanced neurovascular equipment, • Work rotating 12-hour shifts, including weekends, holidays, and on-call as needed, • Serve as charge nurse, preceptor, and participate in nursing committees, • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes We believe in empowering your career.
