Job Description Responsible for the accurate, timely, and compliant processing of weekly payrolls across multiple entities in a complex, unionized environment. This role manages payroll operations for large employee populations, ensures compliance with collective bargaining agreements (CBAs), oversees UKG Pro payroll administration, and collaborates cross-functionally to improve payroll processes and system efficiency. Key Responsibilities Payroll Processing & Compliance • Process weekly payrolls for two component companies:, • Company 1: 9 Broadway Theatres (approximately 900–1,100 employees), • Company 2: Theatre concession bartenders (approximately 80–100 employees), • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws, wage and hour regulations, tax requirements, and union agreements., • Validate and process all payroll-related changes, including new hires, terminations, status changes, pay rates, withholdings, benefits, transit deductions, 401(k), direct deposits, and address changes., • Review and process historical timekeeping adjustments, manual payroll adjustments, off-cycle payrolls, voids, and manual checks., • Maintain working knowledge of 7–8 collective bargaining agreements governing theatre employees., • Update union rates for new CBAs and process retroactive pay, including off-cycle payroll runs when required., • Review weekly theatre settlements and payroll reports to ensure accurate and timely payment of union welfare, pension, dues, and benefit contributions via ACH and check., • Research and resolve union dues, vacation, and contribution discrepancies within the UKG payroll system., • Review and resolve union payment discrepancy notices., • Administer UKG Pro payroll, onboarding, timekeeping, ESS, and BI reporting., • Review and process UKG Pro onboarding for new hires., • Consistently manage and monitor ESS for all 32BJ employees., • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve payroll system issues, including post–go-live challenges., • Customize, generate, and distribute payroll reports for internal settlements, audits, and external partners., • Oversee issuance of Form 1095s and assist with year-end processing, including W-2 and 1099 reporting., • Monthly payroll bank reconciliations., • Prepare and supply reports for quarterly filings and annual payroll audits., • Prepare disability and Paid Family Leave (PFL) reporting for quarterly premium payments., • Assist with unemployment claims by providing employee payroll data as required., • Customize and assist with implementation of new payroll systems and enhancements., • Develop, document, and maintain comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all payroll processes., • Create and maintain a UKG system user manual and step-by-step/FAQ guide for Theatre Managers., • Serve as a payroll subject matter expert and primary point of contact for employee payroll inquiries., • Develop strong, collaborative working relationships with Theatre Operations, Labor Relations, Finance, and multiple union representatives., • Partner with Theatre Managers to establish payroll schedules and ensure timely submission of required payroll data.Company DescriptionNederlander is a family-owned purveyor of live entertainment since Nederlander is committed to a workplace where everyone is free from bias, prejudice, discrimination, and harassment.
