Job Description Responsible for investigating and confirming the facts of loss for the most complex automobile accidents. Determines coverage, liability, damages and otherwise adjusts and negotiates claims within limit of authority. Mentors and provides direction to junior employees. We're looking for a skilled Bodily Injury Litigation Adjuster with Homeowner Liability or Commercial General Liability experience to join our team! In this role, you'll manage complex injury claims, including fractures, bilateral fractures, fatalities etc., while applying your expertise to ensure accurate and fair outcomes. We're open to candidates located in Eastern or Central time zones who are eager to make an impact and grow their career in both Bodily Injury Litigation and Homeowner Liability. • Recognizes and identifies body parts of a vehicle or understanding other potential property damage, • Identifies customer needs and works to meet those needs using appropriate customer service skills, • Determines subrogation or fraud potential and how to handle for the most complex cases, • Applies advanced understanding of insurance policies written by the company, the industry, and organizational relationships within the company and department, • Recommends process improvements, • Applies increased experience in the Sr Adjuster level or a rotation into a specialty position (Coverage, Investigation Specialist, Total Loss, Initial Handler, Extended Handler, Litigation, etc.), • For claims involving injuries (if handled), learns how to review, evaluate, and negotiate moderate to complex/Catastrophic injury claims, • Handles investigation regarding all aspects of the most complex auto claims (coverage, liability and damages) with the exercise discretion and independence within increased level of authority, • 3 or more years of experience (Preferred), • This job does not have supervisory duties. Compensation Base compensation offered for this role is: Adjuster Cons II: $56,000 - $82,500 Adjuster Sr Cons I: $68,500 - $104,100 Adjuster Sr Cons II: $68,500 - $105,140 And is based on experience and qualifications. Total compensation for this role is comprised of several factors, including the base compensation outlined above, plus incentive pay (i.e. commission, bonus, etc.) if applicable for the role. Requirements:, • Requires a high school diploma; advanced education beyond high school preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience., • Previous experience as a claims adjuster or must complete Capstone specified adjuster training if no experience., • If previous adjuster experience, working knowledge of Xactimate is preferred., • Must be licensed, or have the ability to obtain license(s), as required by state and local jurisdictions to adjust insurance claims., • Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment managing multiple tasks., • Ability to provide excellent service to policyholders and clients., • Ability to efficiently operate a computer and related claims and business software., • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills necessary to make decisions and resolve conflict, • Good verbal and written communication skills., • Good attention to detail., • Strong analytical and mathematical ability., • Ability to work independently in a virtual environment when required. Claims Adjusting Work (NYTIC / Emerald): • Perform intake and coverage verification via WCB employer coverage search, • Initiate three-point contact (employer/clamant/provider) within 24 hours, • Conduct compensability analysis and develop action plans, • Ensure timely filings: employer first report, EDI FROI/SROI via Emerald, PH-16.2, and C-240 wage statement, • Calculate AWW and benefit rates; set and review reserves at key milestones, • Monitor treatment against NY Medical Treatment Guidelines; manage MG-2 variance requests and C-8.1 objections, • Route medical bills to bill review and ensure fee schedule compliance, • Prepare for hearings and maintain eCase updates, • Evaluate resolution paths (SLU, LWEC, Section 32); manage subrogation and third-party notices 2. Licensing & Compliance (Jones Jones): • Collaborate with the Compliance team on licensing forms and regulatory filings, • Review TPA scorecards and ensure compliance with WCB standards, • Track and invoice licensing fees and renewals, • Support examiner training and respond to licensing-related inquiries 3. ADR (MRM): • Manage intake, eligibility, and notices under the collectively bargained ADR program, • Coordinate and schedule mediations, • Draft case summaries and settlement proposals, • Ensure adherence to Medical Network protocols and document variances, • Prepare and route settlement paperwork, including Section 32 agreements, • Maintain dashboards of ADR cycle times and outcomes for annual reporting, • Obtain loss runs from wrap-up sponsors 4.
