Manager, Quality and Data Integration – Education Equity UWNYC’s education work follows a place-based model—partnering directly with neighborhoods, schools, and families to design solutions informed by local knowledge, community priorities, and the lived experiences of students. This role supports the implementation and coordination of programs that are responsive to the strengths and needs of each community. Position Overview: Reporting to the Senior Director, Learning Design and Delivery, the Manager, Quality and Data Integration will support the data strategy, systems, and processes that inform United Way of New York City’s (UWNYC) education equity initiatives. The Manager will manage data collection, cleaning, analysis, and reporting across projects within the Education Equity portfolio, ensuring high-quality, accurate, and accessible information that guides program implementation and continuous improvement. This role plays a key part in translating complex data into actionable insights for schools, community-based organizations (CBOs), and internal teams, helping UWNYC strengthen learning outcomes and advance equity-focused decision making. Primary Responsibilities Data Management & Program Support • Support the design and implementation of data collection processes across education equity programs, ensuring consistent, accurate, and timely reporting from partners., • Maintain, clean, and organize datasets related to program participation, learning outcomes, partner engagement, and evaluation measures., • Develop user-friendly dashboards, data summaries, and visualizations to support program teams in interpreting and communicating key insights., • Assist in conducting needs assessments and analyzing trends to inform learning priorities and program improvements., • Contribute to the development of surveys, feedback tools, and measurement frameworks used to assess the effectiveness of capacity-building and instructional initiatives. Data Reporting & Continuous Improvement • Prepare routine data reports, briefs, and presentations for internal teams, partners, and funders., • Track progress against performance indicators and highlight areas for risk mitigation, program quality enhancement, or deeper inquiry., • Support documentation of lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement of data systems and practices across the Education Equity portfolio., • Serve as a data support contact for partner schools, CBOs, and other education stakeholders, helping troubleshoot data issues and clarify reporting expectations., • Coordinate data-sharing processes and maintain compliance with data governance, privacy, and security requirements., • Participate in meetings with partners to present data findings, gather feedback, and ensure mutual understanding of data trends., • Bachelor’s degree in education, public policy, data science, social sciences, or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience., • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in data management, program evaluation, education research, or a related area., • Foundational understanding of education equity, culturally responsive practices, and the NYC education landscape preferred., • Experience working with education data (e.g., student-level data, survey data, program participation data) and ability to maintain data confidentiality., • Strong analytical skills, including proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets; experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker Studio) a plus., • Ability to translate data into clear, accessible insights for diverse audiences, including educators and community partners., • Experience using CRM and project tracking tools (e.g. Salesforce, Monday.com) to manage data, partner records, and workflow processes., • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management, with the ability to manage multiple data tasks simultaneously., • Strong written and verbal communication skills., • Familiarity with project management and documentation practices., • Experience with survey tools (e.g., Qualtrics, Google Forms) and virtual collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom, Miro) preferred., • Comfort traveling across NYC’s five boroughs., • Project and Program Management, • Strong analytical and data skills, • Effective & Engaging Communication, • Strategic Relationship Building & Collaboration, • Critical Thinking & Creative Problem Solving Salary Range: • Job Title Salary Range: Manager salary range, • The final determination of salary, within this range, will depend on the candidate’s education, skills and experience required for the position.
